Just tried to install this game that I purchased 2 years ago but it will not install. It requires Flash and Flash won't install. frown

I did not know that game required Flash Player. Fortunately I still have Flash on my Windows 7 computer. I do have the game but haven't played it yet.

There are Flash Player emulators out there that are supposed to help run games that require Flash, but I haven't tried any thus far as I haven't needed to. That could change, though.

Unfortunately, I removed Flash from my Windows 7 computer and almost immediately regretted it but it would not re-install. Anyway, I haven't connected my Win 7 to the internet for a long time and would not risk it for the game even if I did still have Flash on there.

BF does not show Win 10 compatibility, however we all know that doesn't necessarily mean anything. I wish they would mark store pages of games that use Flash though.

Yes, I really wish we knew which games used Flash Player. I have a feeling I would not want to know how many older games used it.

That remastered version of The Other Side: Tower of Souls was apparently released primarily because the old version used Flash. I just learned this recently.

Yes, I had read that and thought I mentioned it here too.

Maybe you did mention it; if you did, I had forgotten.

I was also looking over my list of games I have played in the last five years and Legends of the East: The Cobra's Eye is on the list. Looks like I played it about five years ago. I do remember it being a good game, and quite long. I have one or two other games by the same developer and now I am wondering if they too require Flash Player.

There is a list of their other games on this page. I have every game on that list except for Zodiac Prophecies.

If you bought Cobra's Eye from Big Fish and wrote to them and told them when you purchased it and what the problem is, they just might give you points for a different game.

Looking at list and writing at same time so I don't forget what I looked at.

I have The Dark Hills of Cherai installed on my Win 7 but haven't yet attempted to play them. Maybe I should try one out to see if it works.

I played A Gypsy's Tale in 2021 in Win 10 on your recommendation smile but it only played in a small screen (noted on my list).

I bought Zodiac Prophesies 2 years ago but it is not installed yet.

I don't have the other 3 games.

I don't think I'd feel right writing to BF about a purchase from 2 years ago but I'll think about it. Maybe I'll see what happens with Zodiac Prophecies when my internet is more stable. And I think I will try the first Dark Hills game since it is actually waiting for me to play it. Game icon has been sitting on my desktop for awhile (as opposed to in a folder where I keep them until I'm getting closer to playing them).

Sounds good.

A Gypsy's Tale - I would like to play that again.

The thing about asking for game replacement points for Cobra's Eye: it would not have worked two years ago either, and there is no warning about Flash on the product page. That's why it would not bother me to ask them about it. Tell them you just got around to trying it out and had no idea it required Flash or you never would have purchased it in the first place.

Yes, the Flash thing is why I will consider it. I meant to say that in my post. I'll let you know if I do and what they say.

Okay. In general, the contact I have had with Customer Support has been pretty good when it comes to getting compensated after having written with a reasonable request.
