Just in time for Steam’s final Next Fest of the year, Boden based indie studio Sparrowland launches demo of their winter noir point-and-click adventure The Tragedy at Deer Creek Drawing inspiration from classic adventure games such as Myst and Monkey Island, as well as modern titles like What Remains of Edith Finch and Dear Esther, Sparrowland is gearing up to release its debut title and take on the adventure genre - The Tragedy at Deer Creek, with a demo available for Next Fest and the full release coming early next year. Using classic adventure mechanics such as finding and using items, uncovering clues, and solving puzzles, players take on the role of photographer Charlotte Gray as she arrives at the long-abandoned logging camp of Deer Creek to document the site for her upcoming photo book, Forgotten Frontiers. As the player solves puzzles and progresses the story, it becomes clear that Deer Creek is harboring numerous secrets, sleeping deep beneath the snow.
