The game is set to release on PC via Steam this year.
In Beyond the Plastic Wall, a chance discovery sets Hal on a journey across a strange and decaying world. From lonely shores to the streets of the last city, players will traverse diverse environments meeting their inhabitants and discovering more of the story behind the letters he carries. Each abandoned place reveals more of what once was, with forgotten machines still whispering to their purpose.
But Hal isn’t just a traveler, he is a scavenger, who restores what others left behind. Throughout the journey, players will interact with and repair a wide variety of broken devices, engaging with tactile, hands-on puzzles grounded in mechanical logic. Whether it’s restarting a rusted engine, deciphering a coded telephone, or navigating the secrets of an old archive computer, each puzzle presents a unique challenge - while sharing a deeper, interconnected language.
Rendered in a striking blend of detailed pixel art and modern visual effects, Beyond the Plastic Wall brings its environments to life with a distinctive 2.5D style. Rocky coastlines, crumbling infrastructures, and vast concrete expanses create a world that feels both desolate and deeply human.
