Another mixture of new/recycled disemvowellings… Remove one vowel from the first answer to give the second. Do not rearrange any of the remaining letters. Eg. Organ/male deer (heart/hart). -1. Article of clothing / facial features -2. Unit of size / unit of volume -3. Cavalryman / mythical creature -4. Ill-humoured / fictional detective -5. Scam / item of furniture -6. Clearing / showy flower -7. Supple / mechanical equipment for construction etc -8. Strictly defined / abstract -9. Proceed with little or no effort / group of players -10. Flower / 25 pounds
To waste one second of one's life is a betrayal of one's self. I wonder what's on television...?

... my first thought was, "Does a pony keg contain 25 pounds of beer?" You and Koala should get together... Excellent solves, everyone!
