Just caught up with this game and played it yesterday and today. Decent story about dragons and the like. I played on the highest difficulty setting, and came up against two puzzles that were really tough, so I was happy. (You can change the difficulty setting in midgame if you like.) No bothersome pop-ups. Some unusual puzzles (mini-games), sometimes a little obscure in terms of what you were supposed to do, but fun to figure out. Lots of places to explore, and a good map for this, although most of the time I just ran from place to place. Not heavy on the HOG scenes, which I also appreciated.
I experienced some odd glitches with the mouse when trying to apply a piece of inventory, and sometimes thought it was the wrong thing to use because it didn't work. Came back later and tried again, and it worked. Some uses of inventory were odd and did not always make sense. Not too distracting though, and not a game-spoiler.
I played the CE version, and in this case, it was really worth it because of a good, long Bonus Game. Total playing time a bit over seven hours, so I thought it was pretty good overall, and a good buy.
