I am in Chichen Itza in the pyramid. I have the bells mounted on the stand and I have struck those bells with the mallet in the order given by those number glyphs in the tunnels. I know the sequence is right. However, nothing happens!!! mad I am ready to smash everything in sight. Doesn't solving one puzzle reveal something?

Hi row,

You're the second person that had this happened to that I know of. Sound like a very bad glitch. Wonder if one of your bell is one of the 'infamous' duplicates that should not be used.
Can you check back to the other places that you found the bells to see if there's another bell that could be found to correct this glitch.

If you want - I do have a saved game right here to get you going. I have done EAster and Giza on this save.

MaG what do you mean by "infamous duplicate"?
Are more than 6 bells?

I found 6 and hang them and played them and got what I suppose was a solution but now I am wondering about the above.

MaG, I have a duplicate skull, but no duplicate bell. Are there duplicate bells? When I hung the bells up, they automatically popped into the right places. If one of them had been "wrong" they wouldn't have popped into place. I don't want a saved game because I may have collected different objects than you at this point in my game. Thanks anyway.

What is supposed to happen after this puzzle?

There was a post earlier that states that there were duplicate bells. I didn't get this but had duplicate skull like you did, lasanidine.

Row - you should see the cutscene of the clue being flashed on the stomach of the reclining statue - it just a clue ---

---- so just go do the platform puzzle at El Castillo inner chamber and go from there. You will progress in the game and just missed seeing that clue. <img border="0" alt="[talky]" title="" src="graemlins/talky.gif" />

Have fun and get out of the dark soon - you need a tan by now!

Row,

It showed the glyphs and the order that is to be pressed on the Castillo Inner chamber - the platform with 4 squares.

There's a picture on the wt. Just peek in there with one eye close and look at the pictures and the sequence - immediately close the page and then you would not be able to see any other clues on the game. lol

This is really weird!! I went back to the upper secret room and I found another #3 bell. I took it to the pyramid and clicked it on top of the first #3 bell that already was hanging there. I tried the sequence with the hammer, and nada. Still no cut scene. So I traipse back to the secret room, and there is that #3 bell again, even though I have all 6 already hanging on that stand.

At this point I give up. I went to the column room and I write out all 24 possible combinations to click. I lucked out and got the right combination on my second try. I rode the elevator and found the skull puzzle. I put the correct six skulls in the slots (I had drawn the 6 glyphs from the pyramid, so I know they are right). And nothing happens!!! mad Don't I get a reward for doing something right?

The only thing I can think of is that the game requires me to solve that 14 skull puzzle first and I haven't figured that one out yet, and probably never will. Maybe once that one is solved it will trigger these two puzzles that I am having touble with.

Did anyone else experience this glitch?

Row did you put the jade mask in the center?

No, Syd! Am I supposed to do that? There was no hotspot. I thought something would just happen. Now I feel really dumb! blush Do I put the mask there first or after the 6 six skulls are in place?

Not sure if it matters Row - I placed it after I had gotten the skulls in - but then I had one or two wrong so I switched them with the mask still there and it worked.

Do that and I guarantee you something will happen laugh

There are many places in TOS where something must or can be done and there is no hotspot. frown

I think you should put the jade mask on last.

Also, are you sure you have the right glyphs? The reward you get for solving the 14 skulls puzzle is a picture of the gold skull puzzle showing which glyph/jade skull must be used for this puzzle. I don't know offhand if the glyphs are the sameas the ones shown in Giza.

Good luck!

I did the six bell puzzle and saw the glyphs, but I had trouble trying to sort out the order of these unfamiliar shapes, so I wanted to see them again, but the puzzle wouldn't work a second time. Is this a one time puzzle, or was it a glitch?

Hi kehrin,

I think that it is only a one time deal. If you want to see them again, best replay a saved game or you can look at the pictures at the wt.
