To erase the slate, click on the image located in the lower left side of the slate that has two diagonal lines going thru the shape of the slate.
If the three switches at either the red or the blue pipe terminals don't rise up when the steam is activated by the Bahro, then you need to be sure that you've moved all of the switches outside each of the buildings the pipes go to. Once you've done this, then activate the steam effect, the switches at the red and blue pipe hubs will rise up and you can move them. Hint: be sure to look at the water pool as you move the pipe hub switches!

Della --- yes, the slate has to be blank to write any other symbol on it. Click on the erase symbol in the lower left hand area of the slate to erase. Once you've created a symbol that the Bahro can use, you don't have to redraw it again. It appears in the lower left side if it a symbol they use to manipulate their world. It appears on the right hand side if it is symbol on other pedestals. Just click on the symbol to use and it is redrawn on the slate for you.
As you set the switches at the two pipe terminals, steam comes up on different pipes in the water pool. As the steam appears, life forms appear on the pipes (just as Esher mentioned about "life living under the ice"). When you set the pipe terminal switches correctly, both the red and blue ones, you have created a path across the pool. You have to experiment with the pipe switches to get it right (or you can look at Bert Jamin's WT under his post in this forum for the exact settings).

You're most welcome Della. Re the Keep pedestal's image, it may be hard to see particularly as the Keep island will move from you as Esher said. You must make the Bahro take you there via the slate. Hint: look closely at the tomb stones and how they are stacked on one another. Good luck!

Hi all,
I had a really weird thing happen in my game in trying to get across the lake to get to the Bubble Keep.
Maybe the keep was somewhere else I don't know.
The walkthrough said to click on the heat symbol on the slate and drop the slate. Next you had to turn around and take 2 steps forward and walk around the path across the lake.
Well.....I tried to walk every which way I could think of and never did find the path to the keep.
I finally decided to just go to the slate and draw the symbol that the walkthrough had and luckly it worked. The symbol was placed on the pedestal.

Yes, that will work, but takes some of the fun and gameplay out.
Did you see the path of "growth" across the pond after you turned on the heat? If you did, then the path across is to start in the middle, turn right to the right end, turn left to the far end, turn left to the middle of pond, then go forward on that white peninsula in the center. You must make sure you are careful and do not fall off of the "growth" on the pond or else you'll have to start over from the beginning.
Good luck,
Dadguy

Hi,
I never got any growth in my game or else I would have tried to walk on that.
I even tried more than once to use the slate to melt the ice lake but nothing happened. That is why I thought maybe there was another way across that I just wasn't seeing.

In the WT for Taghira, Bert says to draw an Ankh on the slate. Well, I drew about 20 ankhs without success before realizing he meant anchor. Drew that and Viola! the little monster took it. Jerry

How hard can it be to duplicate two rectangles connected by two lesser rectangles? I've drawn the dern thing a dozen times and had it at least as good as Bert's WT screenshot, but to no avail. This the fussiest, glitchiest game Ubisoft has come up with. My guess is they released it before it was ready. Jerry
