Been playing this game off and on for over a week.
Just found I can't continue from previous saved game.
Only option offered is a new game. Grrr.
Think there has been an update.

Hi, I have moved your post over to Glitches - I am not sure if this is a technical problem or a gameplay problem, but let's see what other people have to say about this.

Did the game auto-update through Steam?
If that's what happened, then yes you'll have to start over if the old save isn't compatible.

That stinks if the saved game isn't compatible - I wasn't thinking about that possibility.

You might check the Raven Remastered discussion forum at Steam if that's where you got it. I didn't see anything off hand, but you might want to post there.

This happened with Xing... the developer released an update which broke all the saves. He was mortified and worked for several days to fix the problem. We still had to replay some of it, but at least he fixed it so we didn't have to start over.

But maybe a missing auto-save would reappear if you disable "cloudsaves" like one person suggested in that thread (if it's possible).

Plenty of complaints about bugs at Steam -- so it's not surprising they're trying to fix it.

the "Remastered" version is not compatible with the original, so you have to start from the beginning. I have BOTH listed in my Steam library. HAPPY GAMING!

The suggestion on Steam of deactivating Cloud saves worked.
I'm now back playing the game.

Glad to hear that fix worked for you so you didn't have to start over.
