Cabbage, like any other food, is a personal taste. Only you can decide if its good.
Cabbage really can't be substituted by anything other than another kind of cabbage, but they will pretty much be the same, so no point in doing so.

I love cabbage cooked any way or even just raw. Only you can decide if it's "good." Do you like cole slaw? That's made with cabbage. I especially like it sliced up and fried with butter and garlic. We grow a LOT of cabbage and make home-made sauerkraut out of it.
Just do a Google search for "recipes with cabbage" and you will get hundreds of hits.
Once again, weeds are my life!
