My son and family arrived from Denver last night. So, let the cooking begin! My 19 year old grandson wanted to make home made pasta today, so we did that earlier and have the pasta drying on the noodle tree. Made a couple dozen meatballs last week and froze them, so will just open up some of my canned spaghetti sauce and cook everything and call it good!

Drac, that sounds so good. I remember my MIL drying her noodles on the kitchen chairs. I never heard of a noodle tree. I bet everything is delicious.

Good evening everyone...long day and glad to wrap it up and put it all to bed wink

Gerry, I keep organic Echinacea Elderberry tea at work for just that reason...if I feel the something creeping in on my health then I start it right away; I'll wrap the day with a nice cup of Echinacea and Ginger tea.

Connie, hope you are enjoying bowling tonight!

That does sound delicious MBDay630...Draclvr, I've always wanted to try making pasta...one of these days...

Good night all ... sleep well!

Good Morning all! spring
Draclvr, my mom made homemade noodles too...she put them in her homemade chicken soup...it was so good! She never had a recipe for making the noodles or her soup so I never could duplicate it. smirk

Super dark brew and extra strong tea await.

We have another bad air quality day because of the forest fires in Canada sending smoke our way. Probably won't walk today. shocked

Enjoy your Hump Day! wave

Mbday, my mom dried her noodles on the backs of the chairs in the kitchen too! Our pasta was stellar last night! Added some garlic bread under the broiler and some lettuce from the garden for a real feast! We are leaving later this afternoon to go pick up the Germans at the airport.

Germans were delivered to step-son's house in town last night. Today is when my other son and his family are coming over and of course, the Germans will be here too. We are doing BBQ pork steaks. I already put my dried beans in the crock pot with all the ingredients to make baked beans. Putting together a big pan of "funeral potatoes" and hubby is in charge of the pork steaks. My granddaughter wants strawberry rhubarb pie, so we are doing a couple of those too. I'm even going to have her learn to roll out the dough! Told hubby I wasn't cooking for a week after they leave on Sunday!

But first... coffee. That double dark Sumatra brew sounds like just the thing, Gerry!

Good morning everyone.

I've been embroiled in house stuff. The fellow who made the offer on my house backed out; his family reminded him that if he's planning on moving in with his new girlfriend, he should have a prenup in place. I guess they're looking out for him...and their inheritance! lol

While he was off doing paperwork with his lawyer, I got another offer, which I accepted. Even so, people are still coming to see the place in case the current deal falls through. One of them has an offer already prepared in case that happens. So I guess I won't have trouble selling the place. I tend to be on the worrywart side, but even so, it's pretty obvious that this place will sell.

Willow has apparently been quite the ambassador, sometimes greeting people at the door, and other times snoring away happily in her bed while people look through the house. Dude, of course, is freaked and vanishes. As soon as he sees people at the front door. I suspect nobody has ever seen the little twerp.

Anyway, it's back to cleaning and getting ready for a showing.

I think I'm quite ready for another adventure.

It has been a very stressful week, I have to say.

Now I have to send vibes to the the nearest Orca pod, asking them to swing by in front of the house at about 2:15 today. That would be a guaranteed sale. thumbsup

I figured you were buried in house stuff, hagatha! Even sales that go perfectly are stressful. I agree with oldbroad - hopefully no more setbacks!

Well, my neighbour who shares the property with me, the other half of the duplex, is accosting everyone who comes to look at the place. There's really nothing I can do about it; however, I think I might just casually mention that I'm worried about selling it and if I can't, I'll just end up having to rent the place in order to give me enough income to buy the other place. That will scare the living daylights out of them. evil grin I think someone on the street is calling him to tell him when somebody arrives with a realtor. Honestly, I cannot wait to get away from here.

I think I'm quite ready for another adventure.

I don't imagine the realtors are appreciating his interference at all. They really are pushing the envelope.... I rather like your strategy.

Good Morning Connie, Draclvr, hagatha, oldbroad, soot and everyone! wave Nice to see you all back in the break room. Sounds like you had a really fun "ladies night" Connie. Draclvr I love strawberry rhubarb pie even better the key lime pie! I am not good at making pie crust so I sometimes just bake the filling of fresh rhubarb and strawberries in a casserole dish and put it over vanilla bean ice cream topped with whip cream...it is delicious!

Hagatha god to hear that you still have a buyer in the wings...but how very stressful to deal with it all. As old broad said hopefully no more setbacks.

Got more double dark Sumatra coffee soot and Connie, strong tea too.

Enjoy your Friday everyone! spring

Well, whaddya know? During the showing this afternoon a humpback came close to shore, slapped its tail around, slapped its flukes, and generally performed for the crowd for ten minutes. The people looking at my place went absolutely nuts, according the contractor working on my deck today. There are several people waiting to see if my current deal collapses, so I guess my Nanoose property is in the bag.

We've had some very hot weather, but it's clouding over and I'm hoping that there's enough rain to put out the wildfire north of here. I'm looking forward to some cooler days.

I hope everyone has a nice weekend.
