London, 25 July 2023 — Infinite Whys, an indie game development studio based in London, England, is releasing the highly-anticipated debut of their co-op mystery game, Whispers in the West, on 25 July 2023.

Whispers in the West is a mystery adventure game that supports online co-op for 1-4 players. It’s like a classic detective point-and-click but with online co-op or Escape Rooms but with stories. The game will include six mystery cases, each about an hour long, where the players can either team up or go on solo adventures. The base game is available in English, Spanish, German and Japanese.

Co-op Narrative Adventure

What players like the most about Whispers in the West is the social aspect. As a co-op narrative game is not something you will see every day, since the release of the public demo on Steam in 2022, Whispers in the West has drawn much attention from the adventure gamer community. Even before the release, the game had already been featured by some prominent streaming groups, such as Yogscast and Stumpt had already featured the game.

Friends play for free

Unlike many co-op games, Whispers in the West doesn’t require those who are invited to buy another copy of the game. Anyone can join a room using the Steam demo for free, as long as the host owns the game. Players really appreciate this message.

Twitch integration

The team behind Whispers in the West adopted an open development approach and started engaging with players and creators from the very beginning. Drawing from their vast experience working with streamers, they designed a Twitch integration that enables viewers to interact with the streamer in the game through chat - viewers can prompt the streamers to check on a suspect or vote on the final answers.

Whispers in the West is available on Steam from 25 July. The base game, which includes an hour-long full mystery case, to be shared among up to 4 players, will be priced at $4.99, and each additional case will be available as DLCs for $6.99.
