But thanks again 😑

EDIT

Thinking again I’m sure it’s not the Gold Bug game.

Well, I've now fully completed "Fear for sale : The 13 Keys CE" and much as I enjoyed the game, the glitch was NOT in it.
[Although the graphics and locations etc in this game ARE certainly the right type.]

But I have two others in the series so I'll try one of those next !!

I'm definitely on a crusade now !! lol

I'm still not sure I understand the "crusade" but that's good that you haven't run into the glitches again. Maybe the games have been fixed and updated. At any rate, have fun!

Oldbroad, my crusade is just to find the correct game and get past the glitch I previously encountered in it - by playing that section in the order preferred by the developers.
And so far I haven’t found the correct game.
BUT I’m now playing another in the Fear for Sale series and am hopeful this WILL be the one as the graphics, characters and locations in it are looking VERY good 🤞
So I’ll keep you posted in case you might need to change your notes ….

This is getting to be a very long winded search !! slapforehead

I've now fully finished "Fear for Sale The House on Black River" as well but despite the graphics and characters looking very promising, the glitch was not in this game either whistle

I only have one other in the series and it isn't a CE but I will still give it a go anyway as I'm enjoying the series lol

I'll be back with any further info. lol

Thank you, Marian grin

I've started the game now and immediately found that being an older one the hidden objects in it are harder to find !! hamster

But I will persevere yes

I finished Time Mysteries 2: The Ancient Spectres today. Please understand, it is not a bad game, but for me, it did start to wear on my nerves after awhile. Probably more my fault than the game's fault though. I played in "expert mode" which was probably a mistake. There are a lot of HO scenes and some of them are hard. I used the hint button 4 or 5 times I guess. The problem was finding the HO scenes. They may have sparkled if I wasn't in expert mode but I had to hunt them down by clicking around. Had I noted where they were, it would have been easier as they do repeat in the same areas. I used the guide twice but I had to find two different guides online. My game (from Steam) says it is a "collector's edition" / "premium edition". It didn't have the guide. The Big Fish guide I found didn't include the bonus chapter but the Gamezebo guide does. There is a time travel map that you use to go to different years and places. When I get stuck I start at the beginning of a place and work my way through. I rarely use maps but you do have to use it to get to the other years. You can also use it within each year to go from room to room. One year had a location that could only be accessed by using the map which I should have noticed but I didn't pay attention to it. That was the first time I used the guide. I also used it in the bonus chapter because I missed seeing two items even though I had looked in the two locations numerous times. The end of the main game hits you with "to be continued" which I despise. The bonus chapter sort of continued it I think, but not completely, but then again, it confused me so I don't really know. Therefore, the ending of the game was not really to my liking.

Next up I think will be Mystery Trackers 2: Raincliff.

I will admit that I have never played a CE HOPA in hard mode.

The "to be continued" would only really bother me if a third part was never released; at least we have a third part in this series. Maybe in this instance the "to be continued" would be a problem, though, if you had the standard version without the bonus chapter. You did say that the bonus game helped a little. I know I have been confused before in these games when trying to work out the storyline.

Raincliff is a good game. It's been years since I played it, but I remember liking it.

As far as I can figure, hard mode just means less sparkles. There usually still are sparkles anyway at a HO scene though, at least in the newer games. And the hints load more slowly and maybe the map doesn't show where there is something to do. Those things don't bother me. I do not play in the hardest mode though, just middle usually.

Well my crusade is over - but I haven't won !! sad

The hidden objects in my final "Fear for Sale" game trial were just SO well hidden it was taking way too long for me to find them .... and there was no enjoyment in that for me .... only possible eye strain eek
Plus, after playing quite a chunk of the game, I don't even think the grapics and/or characters were right for my search anyway slapforehead

So I capitulated and uninstalled it.

Now I'm having a look at my collection of "Redemption Cemetery" offerings and hoping I will enjoy THOSE !!
[ I certainly won't remember anything about my original plays of any of them, they are much too far back in the past wink ]

Yeah, I like Hidden Object games/scenes but I do like to be able to find the items in a reasonable amount of time.

Good luck and have fun with Redemption Cemetery! I have still not started that series.

I have played some of the Redemption Cemetery games but not all of them. I did enjoy the ones that I have played.

"Raincliff is a good game." I don't know Marian. I started it last night and was stuck after only 40 minutes so I got out. Went in today and was only in for about 30 minutes, still stuck after going through all the areas again and trying my few inventory items everywhere. I really hate to start looking at the guide this early on but I'm getting bored with it duh .

I started a Match 3 called "My Downtown" a couple of days ago. I didn't care for it at first but it is growing on me now.

I also finally finished my 1500 piece jigsaw puzzle (with the teeny tiny pieces) I was working on but since I don't know how to take a screen shot, I have nothing left to show for it after closing out of it. On Steam, you can do a "save to disk" but this game is from Big Fish. frown

Edit: Ach! I was looking at Pazu's walkthrough and saw something I apparently missed. Will check it out tomorrow.

I had some stuck times in Raincliff too and in most instances found that I had just overlooked something that I felt that I should have noticed.

There should be a way to take a screenshot from your Big Fish jigsaw puzzle but I would have to look this up somewhere.

I have looked at My Downtown before and wondered if it was fun. People seemed to like it. I might pick it up sometime if it continues to grow on you. smile

99% of the times I am stuck is just because I somehow didn't see something. Oh, and I only played two HO scenes but already used one hint there. I hope when I do get moving in the game, I can stay moving long enough to start enjoying it! yes

It doesn't matter about the screen shot - too late now. I just know it is supposed to be very easy to do with Windows 10 but I have never done it and never remember how to do things from one time to the next. (My video card is supposed to be helpful for that type of thing too but Windows updates messed with those drivers so it is not useful anymore.) duh

I bought My Downtown in one of the "bundles" for $3.00. It takes a long time to get from one level to the next because bombs and rockets have to explode, then it tallies up your play info (time, moves, etc) then adds to your XP (I don't even know what that is) and then maybe tells you you opened up a new item for your city. There are 3 play modes - I'm playing the middle one, and you can play timed (me) or not, as well as "moves". I think I'm at Level 65 after 3 play sessions and have received 3 stars for each level, but I did repeat 8 of those levels more than once to get my stars. Hopefully, some of this info helps in your decision about getting the game or not. grin

XP usually means experience. Chalking up experience points can mean acquiring new abilities, levels, etc. Not sure what experience does for you in this game, though.

I tell myself that I will remember how to do certain things on a different operating system but more and more I am finding that if I don't write it down I will not remember how to do it.

I am between games and not sure what will be up next. I will probably start a new one around Friday - too busy until then, except maybe some solitaire.

I am playing First Visit To Hawaii. I like it so much that I purchased First Visit To Paris and First Visit To Rome. Problem is after I purchased the last 2 games they woildn't download. I keep getting Error Download. This is strange because First Visit To Hawaii downloaded perfectly. I rebooted my computer and tried following the suggestions in the BF Help section. I have submitted the problem to BFG Help and am waiting for a reply.I really like this game series so I am hoping the problem will be resolved. duh

Marian, I guess the XP is for getting new buildings or whatever. I don't know what I did wrong but I cannot get any cars to drive down one of my streets. crazy

Penny Lane, I hope Big Fish has been able to help you with your games!
