Getting to the cave is difficult Jan and it's dark in most areas of the "bat" cave. Just be sure to save when you solve a difficult puzzle. The guards seem to pop up when you don't expect them.
Good luck and have fun.

I'm back again.

I'm trying to see the reflection on the mirror in the room where I picked up the second library key card and the handle thingy. I'm not seeing it though. I've moved the mirror several times.

I've used the two library cards and now have the information in the note book. I've done the puzzle of turning the handles.

I've looked back over the walkthrough and can't see anything obvious I must have missed, any pointers please?

Jan when the mirror is slid all the way to the right, you may or may not be able to see what looked to me like a shadow on the opposite wall between the windows. Click on that spot on the mirror and you will hear a tone I think. Once that is done, you should get a hotspot on the wall between those windows, click on it.

Nothing there Sue.

I've looked and looked, saw it on the walkthrough but it's not working for me. I slowly scrolled back and forth with the mouse pointer but nothing. I've looked closely at the wall between the windows, nothing. I must have missed something vital but I have no idea what.

Thanks.

Okay, I know you had to have turned Gugon into a statue so am not sure what you might have missed. Let me put my game in and see what I can figure out.

Sue

Ginger it may take me a little time, will have to play the dungeon area again to catch up to you.

Edit: Ginger I just got to this part again. All I did was move the mirror all the way to the right, looked in the mirror and saw a shadow and clicked on that. Then I turned around and walked to the area between the windows to the right of the desk and clicked on the hotspot. Then I moved the mirror all the way back to the left side, walked to its new position and clicked on the blue orb reflected in it. I got a tone and turned around to look at all of the orbs. I clicked on the correct orb and it's now in inventory.
Will send you a saved game in case you still can't get the orb.

Hello Sue,

Save game would be appreciated, thank you.

I've just had another try and it's still not doing what I would like it to do.

Thanks a lot,

Jan.

Ginger, I sent the saves quite awhile ago. They aren't there yet?

I'm afraid not Sue, it appears it's being a problem like the other day, not to worry.

Thank You.

I'll send the saves to you again Ginger.

Sue

Edit:
They are in the mail again Ginger. Please make sure that your mail box isn't full. I know I'm using the correct address.

Still nothing Sue, I'm receiving other email, I don't think we have a limit on the In Box, can't be sure but have never had this trouble any other time, it's bizarre for sure.

Thank you for trying.

Jan.

Thank you Sue.

Would trying my husband's email address help, he's still with the same ISP?

Could I email you with a couple of alternative addresses perhaps please?

You may send me any address you would like Jan. I've already forwarded the saves and will try routing them through someone else.

I've sent the email addresses via replying to the last save I received Sue.

Thank You.

Edited to add that I have received the saves from MaG, Thank You MaG.

Edited again to add that the saves appear to be no different to my own last save. Nothing is Live appart from the edge of the mirror and sliding it left, right, left.
I renamed your sent save in sequence to may last slot, the .bmp was a different view but other than that nothing. Should I be able to see what I need to see in the mirrors reflection? Is that part of the game already completed?

Thank You,

Jan.

Jan look and see what is in your inventory please. You should have a golden orb in there.

Thank you Sue, yes it is there, how dim of me not to think of looking in there.

I didn't expect the whole section to be done I suppose but am very grateful for it.

I think I've got to go back and do the handle turning puzzle, that's no problem as I found that enjoyable.
Could the fact that I did that first have made any difference on me being able to make progress?

Thank you Sue and MaG.

The only thing I had not done Ginger was the library puzzle. Sorry just went straight to the orb puzzle.
I don't think that should have stopped you from getting the orb at all but I will go back to a saved game and do the library first to see.
I think at least one or two other members had a problem here with the mirror/orb stuff.

Hello Sue,

Yes it appears that I did that bit in reverse, LOL. As nothing worked for me in that room (didn't know at the time something should have) I went and did those things in the library.

I'm now at the point where I should get the ghost appear to help me distract the guard. I get the action icon on the 'maiden' but nothing happens here either. I'm very puzzled.

It's a bit of a relief to see that a few others had a bit of a problem in the Orb section.

Thanks Very Much,

Jan.

Jan did you click on the door on the stairs that actually has a keyhole? I think that may trigger Trey's appearance.

No Sue I don't think I did that this time, I've done it lots of times as I've been going up and down, of course I miss doing it at the vital time, LOL. I suppose, thinking logically, that using someone elses save wipes out what you may have done, off to try it now.

Thanks.

I'm back, went and peered through the keyhole, he said he had to get rid of the guard, went back and clicked on the 'maiden' and nothing happened. Sorry Sue, I'm being such a total pain.

Sorry Sue, you're going to be very cross with me, thank you for the patience.

I went back and re traced my steps and I hadn't used the Orb on the skeleton.

I've completed the game but I've not tried the alternate endings yet, will try them another day.

Thank You and MaG for all your help.

Great Game, wish there were more save slots though.

Oh dear, I've just realised I could edit the previous post, I tried to delete this post but it won't let me.

So Sorry Mods.

I'm used to forums where you can't edit after about 30 minutes, must get used to it on here.

I'm not going to be at all cross with you Ginger. You did finish the game and that's wonderful.
It is so worth playing again.
