Before I sign up for a year, I'd like to know if anybody who is a member of Big Fish Game Club is happy with it. I really don't know if I'm going to buy 12 games and I'd really rather have the CD instead of a download, but if people on GBs say that it's good, I'm a believer. Thanks

I'm 100% satisfied Fil. I have no complaints about any game I've purchased. I think you have the ability to buy the game on CD if you want to though.

Fildil, I'm a 100% satisfied. I like that the credits don't expire so I can use them when I want to.

I like having a CD too, but I like only paying $6.99 more puppy

I'm a believer as well. With one new game a day, there's ALWAYS something (usually more than one game a month) that I want. It's the whole $7 thing that really sold me as well. smile I mean, where else can you get Miss Management for $7?? I've done my research a bit and the only thing comparable to it is GAMETAP for general games. (which admittedly rocks because they were to first to release Sam and Max episodes)

However, if you compare the whole casual game scene with GameTap, you can't help but feel a little ripped off either way if you're a casual gamer. razz

There are other loyalty programs, so it all depends on what kind of games you want to play. For example, Mortimer Beckett, Delicious Deluxe 2, Sally's Salon, Little Shop of Treasures, and Dream Chronicles were all out on Gamehouse (RealArcade) first. Some of these are not even on Big Fish yet. It's $20 a month, but you can play any of their 200+ games unlimited. However, a lot of the games I like are BFG exclusive. :|

Gameclub also offer exclusive previews - Azada was available to the club members long before it went on their main site.

Fildil,

I wasn't sure that I would want a game a month either, but I already have bought over my 12 game to satisfy the 12 month agreement and I am no where near the one year mark. I usually get the one for the month and pay for an extra because they have such a variety of games that most would find at least one game each month. It makes me feel so good when I am game hunting and I see the games on the shelf for $19.99 plus tax that I already have in my computer for $6.99. It has been well worth it to me. thumbsup

I held off joining BF for a long time. I was also worried that I wouldn't be able to find 12 games that I liked. But I've been a member for only about 2 months and I've already met the 12 game requirement. Also, I wasn't crazy about the downloading thing. I thought I preferred a hard copy so that I could uninstall when done, but have the cd to reinstall whenever I wanted. But BF keeps your games neatly "shelved" so that you can reinstall anytime, as many times as you like. Even if I never play a certain game again, it was still a good deal at 7 bucks I think.

I switched from the IWin program to Big Fish. IWin game club is $10. I have had NO problem with the 12 game minimum. I just got my first game credit and have already bought several other games. With a new game every day, how can you go wrong?

The downside is that you don't get exclusives to other sites. I would love to have Sally's Salon and Wedding Dash. But I'm sure they will come to Big Fish before long.

As someone else said, you can buy a CD if you want to, with Big Fish, but with unlimited downloads of the same game, I don't see why you would want to?

I love Big Fish! happydance I made a mistake though! I just signed up for 6 months, so have to pay a bit more than if I had signed up for the 12 months! They have good support folks, too.

I never join the book clubs, etc. so it was a big deal for me to join BF, but I love it.

Go for it! bravo

I too am 100% satisfied with BF. I didn't think I would buy 12 games either. Boy was I wrong (have about 15) . Love their customer service as well. When I see games in the stores now, I say to myself " I can get that at BF for $7", instead of paying $19.99>

Count me in too. Held off because of the "will I really find 12 games I want?" thing. Have had membership for only a few months and have purchased 7 games already. Will surely, find 5 more before that 12 months is up. New games keep coming in and they (only the hidden object games for me) keep getting better. There should be enough games to keep you happy for 12 purchases and you can always quit after that.

I am another Big Fish member who has bought my 12 games long before my 12 months. I always buy extra credits to have available for new games as they come out.

Well, here I am, a new Big Fish customer. I bought 2 credits to start, made a mistake with one of my free games and their customer service was so prompt in fixing the problem. I love the hidden objects games, so I might be buying 12 games before the year is up too. grin

Have just downloaded a free trail of the new game Zoom Book and am getting a warning ' Buffer Overrun Detected' have e-mailed BF, but wondered if anyone else has had this problem.

Keep going, the feeling great at the end.

Widget, I haven't but I haven't downloaded anything new for awhile.

By googling I found a long thread about games from Real Arcade having this problem, but found no solution.

Your best bet is going to be Big Fish support. If you are a game club member there is live chat available.

luck

I love Big Fish Games. I'm a member of the game club as well where you pay $6.99 per month and you can use the "credit" to buy any of their games. That's a big savings if you're a big casual game player like I am. At this point, I don't buy casual games anywhere else! I highly recommend it!

fildil, I'm also a satisfied member of BF for all the same reasons everyone else has given. I've probably purchased more than 30 games within the last year. I'm to the point where I don't even bother with the free download for hidden objects games because I just love them. I enjoyed Azcadia and Ravenhurst very much. I'm almost feeling guilty that I haven't play an adventure game for a while lol

If you become a member, not only do you get previews of the new games, members are also the first alerted to problems on the game site. When they changed the format for purchasing the game after a free download, there were some problems. They sent me an email to alert me, asked for patience while they cleared it up and included a code for a free game. Now that's what I call customer service!

One more thought, when you are in the process of buying a came, watch the screens that come up, because one of them might contain a pre-checked box to have them send you a $10 CD of one hour samples of a bunch of their games. I didn't notice this the first time I purchased a game and ended up spending $10 for something I didn't want because once the purchase transaction is done it's too late. wave

count me in. I'm a member of BOTH big fish and real arcade and though real arcade is a bit more expensive I wouldn;t give either one of them up! there's always something new to try and I have explored a lot of casual games I wouldn't have otherwise.

Big Fish is the best company! Recently I had a computer crash and I lost all my games. I was able to easily redownload all the ones from 2006 and 7 but I no longer had the receipts for the games I bought in 2005 (due to the computer crash). So I was out my Mah Jong game (the other ones I didn't care about anymore.) So I wrote Big Fish told them about my crash and how I lost my Mah Jong game. They wrote back apologizing because the game I lost is no longer being offered on BF but they gave me a coupon for a free game so I could pick out another Mah Jong game. I selected Mah Jong Quest II and like it 10x more than the one I lost.

Prices are going up everywhere except in our incomes.
