i am on the beach at cape fear..cant find the mast with the block attached..i moved ahead in the game but now i cant light the fire at skull rock..the lighter and oakum will not combine..

Which beach did you land on Huddy? Find the beached boat on either side of the island and you should find the block that you need......it will be hanging off the mast.
Did you try more than once to combine the items? Are you certain you are trying to use the correct items? Have you been able to light fires anywhere else?

o.k. i got lthe block off the mast at cape fear beach..no i have not lit any fires..back at scull rock it says to put fuel on fire pit but doesnt say to lite it..then when i go back to scull it tells me to light it..i tried all combinations..nothing..it says to combine lighter with no wick and oakum make lighter..

The wt states to light the fuel that is in the firepit later when you have the pirate statues already. That is when you need the light.

Yes - do: In inventory, combine the lighter with no wick + oakum = lighter. Use the lighter on the fuel on the fire pit.

i found it..i was at the fire pit by the cement snake statue..on my way again...ty..you guys are good..

stumped again..i am at the treasure, used the eye, fixed the carriage and used the gears..cant not get the ray of light to work..the ray does not reach the mirror..i have moved the carriages in both directions..

False eye in right socket, replace the mirror in the broken carriage. Place round lens on the left side in the empty slot. Place gears from the watch on the chest.

Move the mirror on the right all the way to the right side and have it in a vertical position. Move the mirror on the left side to the third slot on the right side of that track, adjust the angle of that mirror so that it's tilted just a bit and you should get the light to go through the mirrors.

Might be, didn't use a WT except for a couple of other puzzles. Made that one myself because I thought it interesting.
