Hi ya'll

I just played with this a bit, and of course, I have a question.

I finished the first level and then had the option to use ice towers. All my people died sad so I had to play that level over. But that time, I did not have the option of the ice towers.

I'm assuming because I failed the first time, the ice towers ceased to be available??? Or is it something else?

I think there are some bugs in that game. I had played it up to around the 3 or 4 level and glitches started to appear where I couldn't click on my towers to upgrade them, nor could I exit the game. I literally had to turn off my PC to get out of it. It's been a few months, but hopefully those have been fixed with newer versions.

More on how much money you have. Don't have to wait until the round is over to upgrade or use skill points.

I am having fun with this game too. It is a totally different type of game for me. I found out too that you can use experience points which is the little plus sign and I think thats like upgrades when you spent your points not just the gold. Also I notice that you can restart a game during the game or at the end when you die, but can you save your progress so if you do get like to the third level and want to stop for awhile, not have to go back and do the first and second level again. It would get pretty long to keep going back to the start if it takes quite a few restarts on the higher levels. And how many levels is there anyway? Thanks!

Koalanut :shiver: It IS cold here today!!!

Just found this hints/cheats at this link. Just quickly looked this over, but I did see something there about saving, but need to go back and figure out how. I also didn't know that you can "hire" people with the gold, not sure what that meant either.

Hints/Cheats for Master of Defense

Well if you like this one, might try garden defense. Funnier in some ways like watching a sunflower spitting seeds.

Koala, I've gotten the message twice that I "hired people" but I don't know what that means.

Thanks for the link.

Acornia, that sounds funny. I'll have to check it out. puppy

Well, I figured out how to save and load at least, so I don't have to keep restarting! Still haven't figured out the hiring!

Koalanut

ps acornia...going to go find that garden game!

oooo bravo I LOVE IT!!! yes yes yes
Had a game credit and bought it, boy that hour went fast!!!!
I was skeptical at first, but I think it is easier than the other one and you can set it for five different abilities from easy to hard. Very nice game, thank you acornia!!!! thanks

Acornia you have hit the nail on the head about Garden Defense. Hilarious action in the game from all the defenders of the garden.

RE: M.O.D. I can't even keep it "purchased" let alone figure what to do duh.

Don't think you had to do anything. When start round, a person comes first and then the monsters.

Ah Acornia--you have solved one of my questions! I thought those people were monsters that I just did not have the correct combination to kill.

Now I get what they mean when they say "You hired 3 extra people"

thanks

Hmm. I have opened the game a few times and I see a town but that is all so I am guessing I must do something but "what" escapes me.

Good thing I have oodles of games installed.

Linda, you have to build towers to defend your town from the monsters that are coming. You do that buy clicking and dragging the "towers" found in the lower right.

As you get more gold, you improve your defenses or add more (like hotels with Monopoly) and you also get experience point to increase the damage your tower does, or buy different kinds of towers, or make your villages more resistant to the bad guys.

As you successfully defend one area, you are moved to a new area (level)

:o)

Thank you L4L, I went back in and dragged some towers and finally saw some monsters! It is as Acornia suggested in her post about Garden Defense!

Live and learn, then get....

I know, I was very confused--still am at parts, but I did figure out that I just have to put up the defenses and the game will do the fighting.

Don't forget to click on the "+" sign to spend your experience points. They really help out.

If you want an ice or fire tower, need to put a skill point in them. More skill points will make it more poweerful. Money allows you to upgrade towers so that they have a larger range, fire faster, and have a bit more power. Some will slow monsters down so another tower has more time--so want these towers to have overlapping ranges.

So far my people die and I lose - but it is still a gaming experience.

It's a case of trying to figure out which defenses work best with which monsters and getting them built up and in the right combinations as well as using your experience points to increase effectiveness too.

I find it fascinating. I'm glad there is a restart button wave
