Hi - I hope someone here can help me solve this problem. I've read all the posts and followed the instructions from the walkthrough but can't get the machine on the left to accept the lemon (or anything else for that matter). I've made the syrup, checked the back of the medallion but every time I try to put the lemon on the machine it just beeps at me. I don't know if I've done something wrong earlier on in the game as I found this area earlier on (before talking to Giulia and being asked to make limoncello for her)and got a jar of water from the left-hand machine, which fitted onto the small orange coloured machine on the right-hand side. I'm assuming this is wrong as it's just plain water but I can't remove it. Could this have stopped me being able to use the lemon? Hope you can follow that. Any help would be appreciated. Geezy I'm sorry but I was such a dud when I played this game that I honestly can't help you with this. However many members played it and will be able to help you out. Just hang on until one of them is able to give you some advice please.

Get lemon from the kiosk.
Go to lab at Via Migliera.
Filled the gas tank with propane.
Make pot of syrup.
Get lemon peels and place in alcohol.
Mature lemon peels after checking medallion.

Mix matured lemon peels and syrup.

Hi - Thanks for the checklist. I've done the first six but the bit re 'get lemon peels and place in alcohol' I can't do. I can't use the lemon on the left-hand machine - it just beeps at me. The metal cup is already out at the right-hand side of the machine from when I was in the lab earlier and got a jar of what I assume was just plain water. I can't seem to use anything on this machine, I've tried the lemon, I've tried the jar of syrup but just get beeped at all the time. And where does the alcohol come from? Geezy

Are you zooming in on that left machine first before placing the lemon?

Yes I zoom in on it but I just get a beep like you do everywhere else in the game if you are trying to use something in the wrong place etc. I'm beginning to think I mucked things up earlier on when I got the jar of water(?) from the left-hand machine long before I was asked to make limoncello. Can't think of anything else I can do - can you. Geezy

Do you have a save you can go back to and play onwards from there? It might help to be sure of the water-alcohol bit.

All my saved games have the jar of water on the right-hand machine so I think I'll either have to re-start again (think I'd have to come back in a few months time to do that option) or ask if there is a saved game you could send me. Thanks for your help anyway. Geezy

I don't have a saved game.
Maybe you can go back to the fruit seller and get a new lemon.
You can discard also any wrong things in the machines. Then you can start over.

Well I've had one more go and think I've finally cracked it. I discarded everything, 'cept for the lemon and started again and I think I've got it at last. Thanks for your patience and help. Just hope I've not spoken too soon and don't turn up here again tomorrow asking for help again. Geezy

I had an earlier post with the same problem, though with mine, I kept having the game shut down when I went to the lemon machine. I even uninstalled and reinstalled the game. I followed the walkthrough and the only thing I did different was that I didn't examine the medallion before I made the limoncello. After I did that on the second time through the game, the game worked fine. Seems that that part is really picky about how you do it.

You get the alcohol by pressing the right big oval button I assume you have to put a bottle somewhere there to collect the alcohol you do this AFTER you use the lemon on the machine. Then you press the small oval button to get the peels in the alcohol.Then take the pot with the peels in it. If you press the wrong button and destroy the lemon you have to go back to the water seller to get another one.

Hi, it's me - stuck again. I'm at the hermitage, have spoken to the monk, got the wrench but can't find the elevator map. I've done as the walkthrough says - after getting the wrench from the first room, gone to second room, then outside, turned around and the elevator map is supposed to be on the right of the entrance. Well, I've been in and out the blinkin' door but can't see any map. Have I missed something obvious? Geezy

I don't think I had a problem here Geezy, so I don't remember doing anything different then what you just said in the walkthrough. Did you try going out maybe one more screen outside and come back to the door? I take that you probably already did all the other things that the walkthrough said to do in the walkthrough up to this point in this place like finding the crumbled paper and doing the hat stuff. You had to have burned the verbena cause you got the monk to come. Did you go back and get the fertilizer? This game seems to be real dependent on getting stuff and examining stuff. Sorry not much help, but I know how frustrating it can be in this game. But I do love how beautiful it is.

Hi - Yes I've done all the things you mention. I've moved two clicks outside the second room, to the point where you get the landscape to look at, then turned around and come back again but there's just nothing there. I must be doing something wrong. I know it can sometimes be the simplest little things but I'm at a loss as to what I've missed. I'll go back and check the walkthrough again, just in case. Couple of other thoughts...

Did you have all the conversations with the trees and the guardian?

Is there just one way outside at this point?

Last but not least, does the elevator map matter in the sense that it stops you from doing the ball drop, because I believe the map is just info to solve the ball drop. Just a thought, maybe you can do the ball drop anyway. Good luck!

The map is right of the door (I think) on the ground. See if you can find it by moving your cursor to any paper on the ground.

I've been back and talked to the trees again but they just say something like good luck, so I don't think there's much else to be got there. I've had 3 conversations with the guardian and he's disappeared now. I've been back and looked at the ground to the right of the entrance but there's no paper at all, just foliage, then a rock going upwards. I assumed the map was needed as in the walkthrough it mentions another level in the elevator which without the map you won't know about. I've already dropped one ball down the chute and it rattled about a bit but when I went back down to where the chest is nothing had changed. I don't know if the ball relates to the chest at all. I've not had a chance to check the walkthrough again but I'll do that now and see if I've missed anything. Geezy
