I'm at the double green doors across from each other, combined the hook and rope, got it in position dangling in front of door on left, tried endlessly to hook the padlock on the floor, but with no success. It swings up and down, gets real close to padlock, then off it goes again. Could you please send a saved game after green door is unlocked so I can stop pulling my hair in frustration? Many thanks!. Celtic Colleen

The Awakened - I'm at the part where I have to go around pushing three unlit torches to activate a secret wall. I've done the one outside Gygax's office and the one on wall in front of Wolff;s cell. But I can't for the life of me find the one in the corridor by the torture room. I've been all around and around but can't find the right one. Not even sure where the torture room is anymore. Good grief. Can you help, please? Celtic Colleen

Remember that room that has a well or hole on the floor where they threw yucky body parts. It's the room full of blood.
The torch is on the wall outside of that at the corridor.
That corridor is parallel to the hallway of Gygax' office.

The Awakened - I've just received matches from Watson down in the cave. Walkthru says go back, turn right and there's a way to the right as well as forward to get to where the pirates congregated. Somehow I can't find it. To go back, does that mean back over the broken planks, or what? Sure need your help as I'm almost at the end of the game. Celtic Colleen

CC,

After getting the matches, turn around to go back to that dark passage.
Take one step, turn right and see if you can go forward in the dark.
If not, turn left again and go forward one step and turn right again and see if you can go forward.
Once you can - do the same procedure - forward, right and see if you can go forward.
Do so until you can get to the cave with skulls.

My saves don't work with some gamers but I can find one closest to where you need it and you can try.

It's sent.

Get close to it my click-hold-move. It does take time to adjust to the game manipulation.
Be sure that you have him close.
Also read the manual about game manipulations, cursors and such.
If you are in close up of an item or a puzzle, the magnifying lens appears. So do this to the cloth and ball.

I'd like to say that I solved the problem by going back and talk to those people in front and it let me pick up the cloth from the nail and a ball from the bowl inside ... Now I have another problem at Capt. Stenwick's house outside the shed where there are footprints on the ground but that it won't let me pick up the fish scale at top left of the prints...

Did you look at the fish drawing in the shed? Did you measure the footprints on the ground by the wall? Did you use the magnifying glass to see the fish scales? Did Holmes say anything about the fish scales?
Kay

I looked at the fish drawing in the shed....Sherlock said the footprints are 7 inches.....I can see that it's the lane snapper fish with kind of red scales....but I don't think he said anything about the fish scales only that the drawing in the shed is unusual... also the hand cursor stops short of one half inch from the top of The Awakened on the top left of footprints.. Thanks

Sherlock was kneeling and the magnifying lenses appeared and I used it but when I try to use the hand cursor to pick up the fish scale on the left side of top footprint, it would stop short one half inch from the top of Awakened screen. Also that Sherlock said of the drawing in the shed, 'what an unusual drawing!' nothing about fish scale...

Also have you seen the missing nail in one of the footprints?
