Anyone played A Tale of Two Kingdoms?
JA+ has a new review of it ***here*** along with some screenshots.
It looks a little like Kyrandia.

Hi Jenny100 smile

I played "most" of it - when it was initially released.
And at the time it had a bad "saving your game" bug but I understand that got fixed.

I liked it. Reminded me of Sierra's early Kings Quest games thumbsup

Cheers.

Hi Jenny100

I played this game a few months ago. It is a delightful, but at times frustrating game. I really enjoyed it. On a scale of 1 to 10 I would rate it as 10.
I remember helping a fellow boomer with problems who gave up on it, mainly because of lack of patience and time - too bad.

Go for it thumbsup

Not admitting defeat... is the beginning of the solution.
But sometimes asking for help is not a bad idea!

There is an official walkthrough somewhere (I think the crystalshard site).

other than that (again, note, I made music for the game, but not all of it), I have to say that it's an impressive game!

The graphics are very well made for such an ammateur attempt!
Story is what everyone loves, and cliché of course, but who cares with fantasy adventure games?
Gameplay works very well
Puzzles have multiple solutions and you can finish the game in various different ways.
5 different endings.

Pretty swell game for a FREE attempt, indeed! smile

Thanks everyone. The JA+ review brought it to my attention. I'd never seen a review of it before, and the graphics look very nice.

I know that music usually doesn't boost a player towards a game, but here is the intro track of aToTK:

www.nikolas-sideris.com/stuff/atotk.mp3

It is also an indication to what you can expect from the music part of the game. No voice acting, though.

That's actually better than most commercial adventure games.
