Hi , Boomers

I know its alittle early..But do you guys who are playing, have any thoughts so far..

I have a few... Did you notice that everyone stands in the rain with no umbrella lol

How about the fact It is raining day & nite lol
I did like that fact you can double click & be there in a jiffy..

I also just LOVED Dave's voice ...Very sexy...Hope I can say that grin

Darleen, it's not necessary to use spoilers in your post. The box's first line says " A catastrophic thunderstorm raging over New York" would cover the rain and there are folks using umbrellas too. wink

Are you sure you want a thread with spoilers at all, if you aren't even done with the game yet? I am sure someone will post on it that is farther than you and spoil it for you. think

Yes.. Maybe your right...

I just didn't know how to post it....I am not finished with the game...But I was so excited about the game...I was wondering what others thought..

Sorry, If I did it wrong...Can you take the spoilers out?

Sorry, Ana...I always jump the gun...I have to learn to stop that... pacify redface

Well, I enjoyed it... while it lasted. The game is really short, I beat it in just two laid-back sittings. Posted my thoughts in another thread:

Pirate Hunter, I deleted the spoiler tags (the posts verbage stayed the same though). There was no reason for them. As I stated in my post above, these were not spoilers, therefore no reason to cover them up.

Hi Dar,
I am liking the game very much.It was a relief when I finally associated Dave's "Hmmmmm" with the correct message to play. Clearly there is more to the Doc and the story than we know initially....which, of course, is why we play the game. yes
I'm hoping to get back to it today. gaily.

Phoebe -- I haven't played Overclocked, so it's hard to compare. Overclocked was created by the same development team as Moment of Silence. My impression (just from reading about Overclocked) is that it has more cutscenes, the dialogs are shorter, the puzzles are a bit easier, and you play as more characters (during flashbacks) than in Moment of Silence.

Perhaps someone who has played both games can compare them more accurately!

Hello that is correct Becky .I had a little trouble getting used to the pda but once I had got it worked out it was ok.The scenes seem to have to load up so you get a little wait.I just had a slurp of my coffee and a piece of chocolate while I waited .....Seriously I did nt find it that bad .I thought this was a good game .Some of the things in it like any game a little inprobable but all in all this was one of my faverites up to yet .

My message is a spoiler so please don't read it if you didn't finish the game.

Click to reveal..
The main guy you play, Dave is very cool. Although he is shrink he frequently loses his temper and acts like Dirty Harry. In some elements it reminds me of Postal 2 although that was FPS. Main guy was also a victim of accidents, he really didn't do anything wrong. Why National Guard arrived to protect people from a maniac is still mystery to him.

It also reminds me of Rusell Crowe throwing a phone to hotel receptionist in New York 3 years ago. Dave throws the phone into a mirror but then he threatens hotel receptionist with a gun and in the end he wonders why they kicked him out. His wife getting blind by him throwing gas bottle in the BBQ grill was an accident as well. He was also discharged dishonorably from army by "accident" as well.

June 6, 2005

Russell Crowe, one of Hollywood's highest paid actors, has spent a day in a New York jail cell, a courthouse and in the eye of a media storm.

Keeping alive his bad boy image, Crowe has been charged with second-degree assault and fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon.

The weapon was a telephone he is accused of throwing at an employee of New York's trendy Mercer Hotel.

New York police allege the phone struck 28-year-old Nestor Estrada in the face.

http://www.martyangelo.com/russell_crowe.htm

I didn't get the ending. His wife shows up and cops in the background. Overall this is a unique game where you play as a shrink trying to recover memories of patients and with them solve a mystery (secret Pentagon conspiracy plan).
The closest to this is probably Sanitarium but you played as a patient not a doctor. Great game, even better than Moment of Silence.

Pirate Hunter -- I've put your spoiler info about the game's plot in a spoiler tag so that people who haven't played the game yet won't accidentally stumble across the game's secrets.

Ah but there is my review posted in the review forum. Speaks to the basics describing the story in general terms. It should give you an idea if the game is for you. I liked it, found it enjoyable but would not place it in the "great game" category.

I really liked the Moment of Silence, I know a lot of people didn't, but wondered how this game compares? (other than mentioned earlier in the thread) smile
