I heard others say they didn't collect everything but were able to move on, but I was unaware it would impede your ability to finish. Have you checked off all the suspects, the victim and interogations? THey should all have green check marks by them.

Ana, didn't say someone say a while back that you have to click on the green check mark to get the game to register it? Or am I remembering something else?

You are correct, but I believe that once you close it and open it again and it has a green check, it is done.

Yes, I have gone back to Scotland Yard and gone over all of the testimonies and the suspect sheets, nothing missing.

Can't go back to any of the locations either. Something is missing.

<sigh> I hate to say that despite the fact I have not heard of anyone getting into a dead end, I suppose it's possible. I would send an email to Wael at the address you got the patch from and see if he will look at it. If it is a glitch he would probably want to know about it.

Hello again! I am really frustrated with the Jewelry Box puzzle. (Ten numbers, 5 tries). I have read posts regarding this and have done as suggested to no avail. Any other suggestions for this? I know it is random, but on the odd chance that it might work so I can move on, does anyone remember a "winning" sequence? I would hate to not be able to finish the game for the inability to complete one puzzle.

Thanks!

Hi Donnakaren,

On the Jewelry Box puzzle:
I Use a similar method to the method suggested in the walkthrough.
I start with 0123456789.
Then hopefully 1 or 2 or 3 numbers are right.
Step 2: Increase all the wrong numbers with 1 (9 --> 0) and Skip any numbers which are now fixed because they are right.
Just repeat step 2 again and again.
I also needed 4 Tries to get it right;
So that is 4 * 5 tries = 20 times setting the numbers; If you play the timed version you need to do it in a logical way like this, or you will loose way too much time.
I do hope this helps you.

Hello all,

I need help with Level 5 - Gordon's chamber:
I did everything the walkthrough recommended, but I still need to find the 'Lord's message'.
I am stuck here for the 2nd time, please help me out.

welcome to GameBoomers bigamsterdam wave

Are you sure you aren't refering to the note in Level 5 in the Ladys sitting room? There is a paper hidden on the right side of the pot by the wall. I believe it is blank and you'll have to bring it the lab to see what it says.

Lord Lindons message will be on a blank piece of paper. I believe it is in the siting room. The message is written in invisible ink.

Maybe I shouldn't be asking this question. I've been at the Jewelry Box puzzle for three days now. The most I can get is three green lites with one more click to go. Is there a way to go in the game files and change the 5 to some other number. I went in the game.ini but couldn't find anything. Thanks
Richard

kjos, I know this is possible with some games, but not sure about this one.

You really shouldn't need to do that though. Have you followed MaG's or my solution? Both of them work almost each time.

I'm on Level 3 but I can't understand that black and white tiles puzzle. I alternate between black and white, but still get stuck.

Never mind, got it

Now I'm stuck on the safe puzzle at Level 4. I can't push Column 2 down 2 times. It will push every other way, but not down.

Thanks for the tips, but it is still not working for me. Out of frustration, I sent an email to Frogwares (A nice one, I promise) asking if they could modify this puzzle as many have had difficulties with it. We will see what they say!

In the meantime, I will keep trying- but I must say it is ruining the fun of the game for me. I really want to be able to move on.

Great big hugs and kudos to Frogwares! In a short turnover, they responded to my email and sent me the help I needed. What outstanding customer service!! This made my day!

Well, since my deduction board did not work because of missing evidence, I started over. This time I finished yay

I don't even want to know why this happened, I am just glad to be done smashpc

This game was great fun, and I hope FW's does more of these. They should do one based on The Awakened.

Thanks for all your help. I know where to come when I am in need praise
