Hi Kate Anne,
I don't have a saved game at this point, but:
Do you have a bucket of water already waiting by the well? If not, are you close enough to a saved game where you can go back and fill the bucket and redo the fire sequence? It really saves time to have a bucket ready.

I do have the water waiting under the pump. I even tried to get the bucket of water in my inventory before I clicked on the tree. The game would not let me. I will keep trying. Thank you so much.

The shed. If you go out the door next to the clock, click forward twice, go left 6 clicks, go left one click. Hope this helps.

I bet I spent a week trying to extinguish that fire until I realized there are 2 fires. If you meet a roaring forest fire that's the wrong one. Try this: Take water filled pail - turn toward lake - turn left on path and run fast and there's the shed fire. Can be put out with 1 pail. Go for it!!

Kate Anne, If you're still having problems with putting out the fire, you're very welcome to e-mail me your last saved game. I'll do the necessary and e-mail back to you, so you can get on and enjoy the rest of the game.

Hi sadirose, Can you see a tree trunk lying on its side? Is there a board on top of it? It's only a few clicks in from the edge of the forest, so you can retrace your steps and try again if you're uncertain.
