Hey all. wave

I found a boxed copy of this about a year ago at one of the local thrifts. It's reputation proceeded it. Besides, for US$2 and change, how could I go wrong? grin

First let me preface by saying I'm a glutton for punishment and love tougher adventure games.

The game wasn't as bad as I expected! Sure, the overarching organ puzzle was a bear! And that's about all I'll say about that since this is a family forum!

Graphics design was top notch. Surreal, grimy and menacing. Some of the less obtuse puzzles were also enjoyable. Aerosmith as the Toxic Twins was a nice touch. lol

If it wasn't for the bugs and that (expletive of your choice) organ puzzle, this game would have been great. Maybe not a classic, but certainly it would've rose above it's infamy.

Stay Cool,

Certainly did Becky! grin

Now if I would've gotten suckered into paying full retail for it when the game was first released, I would've been just a wee bit mad. lol

Glad you enjoyed the game doowopman! Did you get it to run on XP? - it's in my pile of the 50 older games I haven't got round to playing yet! smile

Chrissie, I'm one of those luddites still running Windows 98. lol

So I haven't had the chance to try this one under XP. There is a set up guide for 9 over at the Four Fat Chicks website. IMO, it's pretty convoluted. The game doesn't like a computer that has more than 128 MB RAM. Go figure! grin

9 is also one of those picky games that was built with Macromedia Director. Much akin to Amber: Journeys Beyond.

I'd say if you do want to play 9, the best bet is running it under Virtual PC. smile
