Alright, so I've worked my way through the first part of the game. I got to Budapest to talk to Irina Boczow.

I opened the safe, admired the bow, gone through the dialog options, read the books, noticed the 2 differences in the Raphael painting, and deciphered the 2 Thule messages.

I turn to leave...only to be told that there is still something Professor can teach me.

Problem is, she is unresponsive now. And there's nothing else I can do. I even went ahead and figured out the 3d page of the Thule society book. And despite my misgivings, I looked at the walk-through (sorry, whoever wrote it, but I don't like using those...I know you worked hard on it).

She won't let me leave, so I'm stuck in this room with a woman who has a really severe hairstyle and looks as angry as my great-grandmother.

Any suggestions?

welcome Bean,

Reread all the books on the desk and the letter.
You have to know about differences in pictures (that you will get throughout the game) and Irina will show you how.

Yeah, we did all that. At the risk of spoiling...

She asked me to read the letter from the safe. Done.

Then we covered the first book, which is Lords of Night. Done.

Then she and I compared the Raphael painting in the second book, and used the magnifying glass to notice the missing vase and the inscription on the bottom of the cross.

Then we discussed the 3d and final book of Thule codes.

And that was pretty much it. She has no more topics to talk about, and doesn't respond to my attempts at conversation. Personally, I bet she doesn't get many dates if she's that standoffish.

And I've re-read the books again. frown Several times.

I can start over, I guess, but that's a real bummer.

And thanks for the welcome.

Start from the entering the office.
Have you talked about the catalogue book and ghosts?

Yep. Ghosts are the white pieces of paper sticking out of the books so she can remember where they go on the shelves.

Sunita, when you go to the prison in Turkey be sure to look in the backpack before going inside the prison. You shoulld find the lantern there.

I was wondering if anyone knew where to find the lantern is?
I need to trade it for the monkey wrench for it to give to the gravedigger.
Thanks

Do you have to take the train to turkey? I am almost done with the game and there is no train at all, I am at the part where I need the monkey wrench to get the bowl around the mortar shell

Thaks Sunita

-------------------

Ok I feel like an idiot, When you talk to the gravedigger it automatically exchanges the lantern for the monkey wrench..
It has been in my inventory
Thak for all your help

It sounds as though you may have missed a section of the game. In a conversation with Maria at the dispensary, she should have shown you a map where the Turkish prison is located, and you automatically go there.

Is Maria still around to talk to?

Edit: Glad you figured it out. thumbsup

Face the gate.
Look down.
Read the words. Heed it. Do not turn around or you die.
Pull the lever and do the puzzle.

Sunita,

Are you following the walkthrough step by step.
From the start and do it carefully and slowly.
Forward to MDXCVII (1597) There's an odor of tobacco.
Right to CMLXXXVII (987)
Left to DCX (610)
Forward to CCCLXXVII (377)
Forward to CCXXXIII (233)
Forward to CXLIV (144)
Forward to LXXXIX (89) Smells like tobacco - Horizont brand. Look at the floor and see fresh blood.
Right to LV (55) Strange odor, much stronger than tobacco.
Right to XXXIV (34) Fresh blood on floor. Advance in spite of risk.
Left to XXI (21)
Forward to XIII (13)
Forward to VIII (8)
Left to V (5)
Right to III (3)
Left to II (2)
Right to I (1)
Forward to I (1)
Forward to blank.
Before the Per Aspera gate, Father Arno falls down again through another trap door. Meet Janos.
--------------

Saved game is on the way. smile

It is a long step by step and can easily miss a step or a turn. Good luck with the saved game.

I am following the walkthrough and am in the ruined ball room doing the pillars. I am at Path 4 but I can't seem to draw a swastika that's acceptable. I've tried drawing large ones, small ones, etc. I am retracing my drawn lines because if I lift up my cursor to go to the second part of the swastika the drawing disappears. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance for your help.
