Hello MaG,

I would like to try the save for the same spot again if you don't mind. I would like to see if I can get it to work this time. If you don't mind, can you send it again? Thanks MaG.

I came back to say that after almost two weeks of trying to get the keys and the save that was sent would not go into my game and I could never figure out a way to get the game to recognize it, I was finally able to get the keys today on my own, without a save. I have to say I have never been more happy and frustrated in a game as I was today. I so wanted to play this game and after a review I read here yesterday I was really upset that I would not get the chance to play as I could not beat the key puzzle. I just want to say to those having the same problem, keep trying. Per MaG's WT it really is all in the timing. I finally figured out what I was doing wrong and when I did that, I got it on the first try. Thanks GB for all you do for us gamers to keep us going. I know what I'll be doing today... (Sorry I just wanted to share as I am really thrilled that I will be able to play this game after all) Thank you!

Check it again. Look in inventory if the keys are there. The screenshot is similar before and after going down the stairs.

Did you renumber the saves to be the last in the folder, Chance?

Saves for this particular game work fine for some folk and not at all for others. headscratch

If you just change the number, the extension stays the same.
The extension if you see it is necessary.
The save is sent.

No problem, abby, the save's on its way to you.

You need to keep the file extensions as they are, just make sure you have renumbered the save so it will appear last in your game folder. wave

Edit: MaG beat me to it. grin

Yes, I did exactly what you said to do and there was no new saved game when I went back to the game. Not even a new picture. I have received saved games before and had no problem getting them to work.

abby,

The save I sent you starts at the top of the stairs or the end of the hallway. That is after he got the keys and climbed the stairs. So check the inventory to see if the keys are in inventory.
So if you see the keys - go to the bedroom and the bedroom window.

Be sure that you have renumbered the saves I sent you or take the files with the same number and replace it with the 2 files of that number that I sent.

mag i have noticed a place when you go into data files called menu when you click on it there is a lot of stuff there.there are 4saved pictures in there that have jpeg over to the side of then, but they were already there when i downloaded the game ,and i haven't started the game yet.i was just wondering if that is where the saved games you sent go or is that part called menu just for saved games the company put in the game.

No menu is for the intro part of the game.

Maybe if I make a saved game in the bedroom and send it to you - will lessen confusion since the 2 pictures are the same in goig up and going down the stairs.
Hold for a few minutes and I will replay.

MaG,

I got two saved games from you for the Hardy Boys, which I finally finished by the way yesterday. I think you might have sent to me in error? I'm only responding in case the person you meant to send it to didn't get it.....Thanks MaG.
