I have been chasing sheep for several days but when I finally get all ten some leave the barn before I can get there. I am getting so frustrated. What am I doing something wrong? They are so hard to find sometimes. Is there a trick to this? Please help

Hi masmirf,

The only trick is to round up the last couple of sheep extra quickly and then immediately enter & exit the barn, after which the door will shut and lock.

Do you have the sheep counter at top left of your screen to keep tally of your count, as well as your whistle?

I do have the whistle and the sheep counter. I just can't seem to get to the barn fast enough. Once I had all 10 sheep but some got out before I could get to the barn.

Would you like a saved game, masmirf? Just say the word. Junior or Senior level?

I am having trouble with getting the correct settings with the stones. I know which consellations, tree and festival I need for all 4 but I just can't seem to get the right combination. The trees and festival are a little hard to see in the game, the screen is a little dark and it hard to tell the festival. Do the trees follow in order? By that I mean I can tell fall and winter but spring and summer look similar. If I have winter does spring follow and then summer? I am just having a hard time with this and I would appreciate any help you can give me. Thanks! (Junior)

masmirf,

Please use on thread per game. I merged your 2 thread together. It helps us follow your gameplay.

Start with summer constellation (check the sky in the background) on the first stone. Use the constellation book as reference.
As for the trees - check the leaves - see which one is summer (full of leaves).
The Ogam script - check the book on that.

Now - go right. Do the next stone adn adjust it to Fall. Again check the constellation book and the tree for fall (leaves on ground).

And then winter and then spring for the the next 2 stones. luck

I will go back and try again. Thanks!

---------------------

I just looked over the stones again and changed the trees. I though I had spring and summer confused and I double checked the festival and it all looks correct but nothing happens. Any other hints?

Double check that you are moving clockwise around the circle - with Summer being the first stone that you come to as you enter the circle - and that the constellations are set to the correct season for each stone. Double check the Ogam script for each, also.

The trees: Summer = full of leaves, Fall = leaves on ground, Winter = no leaves, Spring = fewer leaves.

luck

I still can't get it. I don't know what I am doing wrong. I looked at the walkthrough and from what I can tell my trees and festivals match the walk through. I'm not sure what to do to get the last printing plate.

Thank you so much for the save. I just couldn't seem to get that one. Now I have a different problem. When I put your save in I got the printing tablet but one of the tablets that I already had disappeared. When I looked I discovered it is the one I get after I sheer the sheep. I went to the bar and talked Donel so I know the sheep are all in the barn. I went to the barn and blew the whistle but the sheep will not go into the machine to be sheered. Do I need to do something else? I went to the bog and all I need to do there is stuff the doll. I would appreciate any suggestions you may have. Thank you!

The saved game I sent you follows the walkthrough.
You do not get a printing tablet after you shear the sheep - you get wool.

The plates are taken from: the press itself, dollhouse puzzle, standing stone and slider puzzle.

As for the shearing, after cehcking the control panel - pull back and look at the shearing pad - then blow the whistle.

Thanks for the hint. I forgot I needed to step back from the control panel and then call the sheep. Thanks!

I am having trouble with the printing press. I printed the first page but it will not let me print the other 3. I think I did it wrong the first time so I started all over from the last save game you sent me. I sheered the sheep all over and went to the bog for the doll. I completed the puzzle in the nursery so I have all 4 printing plates but when I print the first one and put it on the drying tray it will not let me print the second one. It says I have to complete the first one so the only thing I could see to do was turn on the dryer and then the other 3 plates disappeared from the top of the page. I would appreciate any help you can give me.

Hi masmirf,

You should use the same sheet of paper for printing all 4 plates. Once you have printed the first, take the paper and place it on the dryer, but don't switch the dryer on - it should be a holding area only. Load up the second plate, then use the same paper for printing that, and place back on the switched-off dryer. Continue the process until all 4 plates have been printed on the same paper, and then turn on the dryer and dry the paper. luck
