All of a sudden this game started acting up! I have HP Ultra 860 LE, GEForce FX 5700 LE, 128MB DDR. Installed ok & have played ok up to the point of Nicole being in apt 9, have given Joel whisky bottle & am trying to pick up the fuse on couch. That's where everything gets jerky, ^ she won't pick up fuse.

Are you stating the game becomes unplayable at this point, or are you looking for a hint?

If Joel is still there, you can't pick up the fuse.

No Joel has left, it took a long time for that action to finally get done. She is in room alone, the cursor is on the fuse & she is just standing there. I can get her to leave room, but she will not pick up fuse. I have read the origami that Nick gave Joel, so I don't think that is the problem??

Do you have a saved game just before that point? If so exit the game and then restart it. See if you can get past this point then. If you don't have a recent saved game, try to do it now and restart the program. A lot of task switching make some games very unstable.

Mome, have you tried climbing the stairs where it is dark? Nicole may then realise that she needs to fix the fuses, and pick up the blown fuse from the couch.

Did you have a look at the fuse box and the blown fuse yet?

I've posted in Glitches but I wonder if my problem may be that I have not done something. I am in the abandoned building have been thru & talked to Joel, given him the whiskey, gotten the origami & he has left. I am supposed to pick up fuse but Nocole is just standing ther doing nothing. I can get her to walk out door & back in but still won't pick up fuse. I thought I might have a glitches problem since the game began to get sort of jerky. am still waiting on answer from there. Is ther maybe something I have not done??

I'm in the thug's hideout. Have taken photo of purse on sofa but can't for some reason see any numbers on the paper sticking out. Looked thru other threads that had the number 555169529 so tried that number but got a busy signal. Are these numbers random or is there something else I'm supposed to be doing??

Hi Mome,

The numbers are random, and inverted (they need to be interpreted upside down). When you look at the photo in your PDA, can you not see the numbers?

No in the photo all I can see is the bag w/a piece of paper sticking out. Is there something I am supposed to do to be able see paper??

Try going back to a previous saved game and playing this part through again. It's very odd that there appears to be nothing on the paper. Perhaps replaying will work through the problem. Make sure that you are as close as possible to the couch before taking the photo.

Help1 i am stuck in the very beginning. i am in the Orangery in the museum. i have the potting soil & vase. i have looked at everything. Every time i try to go to the door to get back to the main hall,Nicole says that it would not be clever. i can't figure out what else i need to do. Thanks!

Return the pot back where you found it. You won't be able to leave the Orangery carrying the pot.

I finally got the ph # I just wasn't close enough to the sofa!! Now I am in Cusco, talked to Alvadado, got the info on trip, now found him dead, got knife, got gems & am stuck on balcony, put the board across but she won't pick up the amphora pots to make ladder.

Did you cross the plank and look at the top of the wall, so she knows that she needs to make a ladder?

Well TLC, she crossed the plank but I'm not sure she 'aaid' anything about needing a ladder. Will go back to that spot.
