I just started Syberia II and it is the same as the last half of Syberia that I played before. Is Syberia II all the second half of the original Syberia or is it just a review and then there will be the new Syberia II?

Thank you for your help.

GerfieldOdi, it is not the same. Syberia two is the sequel of Syberia I and, in my opinion, it is even better than the first part.
Enjoy the game.

Yes Syberia 2 is the second half of the Syberia story.
It certainly isn't a new game, though it's been republished.

Thank you Jenny100. It looks like I bought Syberia II just to replay the whole game again. That is disappointing but I did like the original but I thought I was getting an extention of the first one. Oh well.

Garfield.
Syberia 2 takes off where Syberia 1 stopped.

The way I read your posts, it sounds like you think, that you're playing the last half part of Syberia 1 again?

You are correct. I remember having to put coal in the train and it wouldn't work, I remember going in the store and taking money from the candy machine and throwing candy to the little girl below to get the key to the gate so I could go down below...so far it's the same as what was in the original Syberia. Has anyone else played Syberia II? If so, did you find it the same as the last half of Syberia I all the way through?

Are you absolutely sure it's not the same game?

Because as I remember Syberia 2, it's nowhere near the same surroundings as in #1.

Yes, I'm sure. When Syberia I ended,
Click to reveal..
Kate was running along side the train to catch it. The train then ended up in Romansbourg. Kate had to wind the train, then tried to put coal in the train but that didn't work, the gate to below was locked, gave candy to the little girl and she gave the key to Kate, Kate unlocked gate and went down the stairs to below
. So far, Syberia II is just like the 2nd half of the first one. Maybe it is just a recap and then the 2nd part of Syberia II will start. At least I hope so. I purchased Syberia and Syberia II from the InteractCD Store. They came on one CD.

Syberia II does have a recap I think, but as far as I recall Syberia I ended with Kate
Click to reveal..
making the decision to catch the train to Romansbourg, instead of going home on the plane, and then Syberia II started in Romansburg.

The games were decidedly different.

Maybe the new release has merged them a little, but there were definitely two seperate games when I played them. :wave12:

I recall with Syberia I that Kate ended up

with Hans and the Mammoths at the end.
I remember Kate being in a cabin and a bear was outside. She had to catch fish and throw the fish out the cabin window to get rid of the bear. I only recently heard about Syberia II so I know I have not played it before. What is Syberia II like in game play?

When I played it there were 2 parts.. The first part ending

with Kate taking the train with Hans and the second one ending with the mammoths

Good Morning, GarfieldOdi: I have played both these games several times and I wonder if it's possible that the game you didn't play is Syberia I. Everything you seem to remember happened in Syberia II. Do you remember a huge and wonderfully depressing factory scene?; an old opera singer?; and frozen resort? All these thing were in the first game.

If all the people were heroes, there would be no one to watch the parades.

Yes, I remember all of that and have just played Syberia I and now I am playing what is suppose to be Syberia II but it seems it's the rest of Syberia I because I have already played this. It seems to me that Syberia II would start where
Click to reveal..
they meet up with the Mammoths at the end
. Maybe I got took when I purchased it from the InteractCD store. Maybe I need to contact them. I have never played Syberia II before, I just recently learned about it and that is why I bought Syberia and Syberia II on the same CD from the InteractCD store. Syberia I starts out when Kate arrives at a funeral procession in the town of Valadilene. It ends
Click to reveal..
when Kate and Hans find the Mammoths
. I thought Syberia II would continue from there.

Well it sounds like you've played 1 and 2. There is no Syberia 3 or anything after

the mammoth
ending.

InteractCD does not make the CD's, they are a simply a retail outlet and I can assure you that Dave does not sell anything bootleg. Others here have played the sane game and not had any issues. Are you sure you did not play both before? The ending you keep quoting is the ending of Syberia 2.

Please do not post the ending without spoiler tags. thanks

I agree with Cathy1, it looks as if you have played the 2 games back to back. Do you remember having to find Oscar's leg in the factory or the cave where you found the toy mammoth or the bell tower with the outside lift? If you remember those then you seem to have played both games. What wonderful games they were.

Thank you BrownEyedTigre. I was not sure since I have never bought from them before. I do appologize if I stepped on any toes. That was not my intention. I am absolutly sure I have only played Syberia I. I played it a few years ago, then recently found out that there was a Syberia II so I ordered it at a great price and got it right away. I am so sorry for posting the ending. I didn't mean to cause a problem. I was just trying to explain about Syberia I and that I had not played Syberia II.

Hi Garfield -- is it possible that you first played a combined edition of Syberia like this one?

Thank you everyone for your help. I will continue on with Syberia II to the end. It is a wonderful game and worth replaying. Again, I am so sorry if I caused any problems, that was not my intention.
