In the mine, Anne has put the dynamite into the hole she bored; attached the fuse wire, now she goes down to the bottom level to retrieve the other end of the wire. The panther is standing right in front of the end of the wire and I cannot get to it. Is there a way to move the panther or have I missed a step?

The end of the wire is behind the leopard. You might not see it too well. Raise the brightness of the monitor.
Once you pick it up the detonator is also behind the leopard.

Also see if going to the right screen will move the leopard a bit when you go back to the left screen.

I tried brightening the screen but that didn't help. How 'bout a save right after she picks up the end of the wire. I have just about pulled out my hair and it is ceasing to be fun. I appreciate your help.
Thanks,
Margaret

margaret,

This is one game that the saved game of one works on another gamer. The whole saved game folder of one folder will have to be sent to another gamer that has the game installed and have it played. That saved game folder is huge. Sorry.

I think you can get that end of the rope. Look closer and see. luck

have you done all of this:
Now that the elevator is working, use the button to go up. Notice that there are two levels.
On the middle level, there's a bucket full of emeralds at the right and a bit of fuse wire at the left; take them. On the top level, there are more emeralds in the wall, a large drill, and a couple of bats overhead. Oh, and a crate hanging from the ceiling; you can't tell from here, but it's full of dynamite sticks. Hmm...
How do I get the dynamite down?
Now that you have dynamite and fuse, you just need to pick the best spot to plant them. You're trying to go up; pick the highest spot you can find in this area.
Go up to the top level and use the drill to make a hole in the wall, then place the dynamite in it and attach the fuse. Now how to use the fuse?
The lighter is no help here. This isn't the kind of fuse that burns; it's the kind that attaches to a detonator.
Go back down to the bottom level and pick up the loose end of the fuse wire hanging down from the top level. Go off screen left to find the detonator and attach the wire to the BOTTOM of it. (There are two hotspots here: the place to attach the wires at the bottom, and the plunger at the top.)
Once the wires are attached, use the plunger at the TOP. (You may have to use the plunger twice -- once to pull it up, once to push it back down.)

Would that I could be the peacemaker in your soul that I might turn the discord and the rivalry of your elements into oneness and melody

Winfrey,
Your clue helped me so much. I went back and played the game from a different save and found the end of the wire (the leopard was standing in a different position this time) but I did not know there was two hot spots at the detonater. Once I read that, it was easy as can be. I thank you so much for taking the time to go through that. I had done everything else and couldn't get the end of that wire (I thought). Now I am thinking that maybe I did have it already and just couldn't attach the wire to the detonater because I was at the top (not knowing there was two hot spots).

If I remember correctly, you'll know if you have it by seeing a picture of the cable at bottom left of the screen.
The place to attach the cable on the detonator is at the base. Be sure that you have plunger at raised position already before doing this. luck
