Woe is me!! I started over like you said, and there they sit in my folder, but do not show up in the saves when I play the game. I guess I am hopeless. 'Beverly

Are you placing it in the AOM2 folder in My Documents? I don't understand why it won't work for you.
I'll send you another one - see if you can work with this one.

Also- I don't know if this will help-- but can't hurt.
When I at first saved mine I put save07 when in fact the rest were save004, save005, save006, I went back and changed mine to save007. Again not sure if it would have made any difference-- just a thought-- good luck

Good suggestion, but my last save was save0013, and I changed them to save0014 and save0015. Still nothing. I guess I will have to quit this one. I will give you all my walk through and see if what I am doing is wrong ok?
The saves come in the mail, I download and save it to the desktop. On the desktop, I right click on each file and change the names to save0014 and save0015. I then open up my documents and click and open art of murder file. I then drag the two files from the desktop over to the open file. Open up my game and go to the load game and the saves are not there. HELP, PLEASE!!

Ah - that's it.
Those 2 files sent to you make one saved game.
They should have the same number as shown by the original number on them. One is for data and one is for picture.
So they should be both save0014.

Did you change the number to be the same number for both files?

I don't understand why my saves don't work. I am following the walkthrough that is posted on the forum by Malcom. Oh well, I will keep trying to get that tire to the fountain anyway. Thanks for trying. Beverly

Follow the procedure Rushes sent to you and what has been posted on the forum. Each game has some quirks.

Bevlee, this is what I would try next-- I would make a file on my desktop and I would go into my game file and go to the save folder =_ would move them ALL into the file I just made on my desk top. I would then start the game over--- and save it once. Then I would take the saves that you were sent and rename them save002.
and then start the game and look for them-- that way you would know for sure that they were not hiding somewhere-- can't hurt- if it still doesn't work simply go back to your file on the desk top and put the files back in-- after taking out save001 and save002 that you just saved. duh

It might not work if you have not finished everything in the main apartment. Once you are in the secret room, you can not come back again.
Be sure that you have checked everything on the work desk and have collected evidence.

Me again. Why do you have to win at the slot machine to get money when you have already gotten it from the fountain?

The fountain will only give you a few Euros plus a lot of other useless currency. You need to play the slots in order to win enough cash to pay the photo developing fee. Keep playing the slots, eventually you will win a payout. luck

Hey ya'll,

I am stuck on the slider puzzle and was going to ask for a save but I can't find my saved games to find out what number I need. Can someone tell me how to find them in my files?

Thanks,

carla,

Please don't jump from one thread to another. Thanks.
Are you using Vista? Check the 'If you post Hints' thread at top of the page - you'll find somedetails for looking for saves in Vista.
If you're using XP - they are in My Documents folder.

I am sorry. I didn't mean to jump threads. I just clicked the first one I came to. I found it now in My Documents. Could you send me an unzipped save by e-mail like you did last time with explanation of how to add it?
Thank you very much.

carla

I forget to tell you my last save is 0020.aom
