I have been putting off finishing this game because I wasn't in the mood to be frustrated. But, tried to finish it in last timed sequence where am supposed to adjust the mirrors on the columns. I don't see any mirrors anywhere. Could somebody please tell me where on the columns they are supposed to be? I tried clicking everywhere. Thanks.

Did you adjust the pillar symbols correctly to spell the name? If you have solved that part, then the pillars will recede to reveal a system of mirrors.

Oops! I had done that, but didn't remove the adjustable bar from the cavity. I saved a game and loaded the wrong one. thanks.

Just as a note, I finished the game. I found waiting awhile when you're frustrated works. I also found a walkthrough that tells how many times to click on the mirrors. It saved time. If I can finish a timed sequence game, anybody can! Thanks for all the help.

Aram,

This is the same sequence in arranging the lines before the mirror puzzle. The line arrangements on top of each pillar is in both walkthroughs.

See if this helps.

I am in the library. i am trying to clear the accident scene. I know from the walkthrough that I need to put the long frayed rope on the long pole. Madeline says it is too weak and too long. obviously i need to cut the rope with the scissors, but can't figure how to put the rope & the scissors together. thanks for any help! you guys are great!

Do you have 2 ropes in inventory?
Remember to use only one.

I don't remember cutting the rope but Malcolm stated to use scissors or scalpel to do so.

Ok,here's the trick--in case anybody else gets stuck here. you must use the magnifying glass on the rope in inventory before you can cut off the weak & too long part with the scissors. you will have 2 ropes--a scrap & what's left of the original frayed rope. you have to use the longer rope & after that everything works like a charm. i really love this game!
