I keep setting the jetpack according to the instructions, but it keeps taking off without me. How do you get it on Nancy? Have I missed doing something else so that the jetpack would automatically be on Nancy? Thanks for any help you can offer.

It's taking off without you? That's weird. I have not experienced that. Are you sure you have programmed the jetpack correctly?

It should automatically be on Nancy when you move away from the castle and in open air. Then use the jetpack.

When do you click on the jetpack in inventory? Is it before you go out the castle door or after you go out the door, and is there any specific spot on the grounds you stand?

Hi Grannylin,

You need to be in the main castle grounds, well away from the castle itself and any pathways. Then click on the jetpack. luck

I have gone back and checked the way I printed the instructions for the jetpack and it matches the one in the walkthrough. After I take the instructions, I go out the door onto the grounds of the main castle and then I click on the jetpack in inventory. It is not on Nancy, but in the middle of the screen. When I click on the jetpack it shows the control panel and I use the instructions then push the GO button and it shows the jetpack on the ground and it (I guess) explodes; then it gives me a second chance. So, what am I doing wrong.

Be sure that you do not see the castle in the screen.
Then use the jetpack by doing the control panel.

This is a tip by Rushes:

Place your cursor to the left of, and just slightly below, the halfway mark on the lever control. Then click-hold, and drag your cursor up a little. The lever moves straight to halfway. Trust me, it works.

I tried simply double-clicking at that point, and although the lever moves up without stopping at the quarter-mark, the game doesn't like that method, and...kaboom.

I tried Rushes suggestion, but kaboom! Let me asked another question. When Nancy comes out of the castle door and is then seen on the other side, should you be able to see the jetpack on her back? If so, I am not seeing this.

Take Nancy out of the castle.
Go forward until you are on open ground and out of sight of castle.
Then click the jetpack in ivnentory.
Do the control panel puzzle. Then if you do it correctly, you will see Nancy fly.

grannylin, no you won't see the jetpack on Nancy's back before the controls have been set correctly. Only when it's functional will Nancy wear it and be able to fly around.

If you're still having problems you're welcome to send me your last saved game and I'll take a look at it for you.

I started over at a saved game I had before I picked up the jetpack. I am up to the point where you figure out the number for the color to put on the plates. I noticed on the walkthrough that the last figure adds up to 67 not 75. Which number value is right, because I'm having trouble figuring out the codes by myself.

01000011 adds up to 67
01001011 adds up to 75

Use these colors and printing plates in this order:
Click to reveal..
01011001 Y for Yellow
01000011 C for Cyan
01001101 M for Magenta
01001011 K for Black

luck

Thank you for seeing that I didn't place the correct binary value. blush Will edit ASAP.

Should be: 0+64+0+0+8+0+2+1 = 75

Well, I finally finished the game by going back to the save I mentioned. The chemical puzzle was a challenge, but fun. Again, thank you all for all your help. These games take my mind off of my problems.

Great that you finished and enjoyed the game. Well done on beating the chemical puzzle, that's a toughie.
