Have you talked to the librarian at the Lyceum already?
He will give you the translation for the word EGER. From there you can translate the rest. luck

The librarian is at the Lyceum, he's a man.
The historian is at the coffee shop and is a female.
Do you have them mixed up?

While we try to help, you can try to help us too by remembering to use the edit text button and not stack your posting.

Now you have the piece of paper that you got from the table.
Look close on the table and see the table at right has Gardonyi's alphabets and the regular alphabets at the bottom.

Click on a Gardonyi's alphabet and the corresponding alphabet at the bottom and that letter will be placed on the white paper at left in the positions of the note to be decoded.

See that the white paper at left already has the EGER transcribed.

You decode the rest by logically deducing what are the letters - like a cryptogram.

If you use the solution in the walkthrough - see that decoded words on the white paper should correspond to the long strip of paper on top. You can solve it by clicking on the Gradonyi alphabets solution.

OK I have translated the note but nothing happens, I thought I was suppose to get keys. When the note is translated, just what do I do to get keys.

When done, the cipher code keys are in inventory.

The code key is a piece of paper that has the code that is used to translate other coded messages.

Face the room with the windows on your back.
Look at corner at left side of the wall you are facing.

Hi tysonboxer,

Entering in through the study door, turn left and go forward to the left corner of the room nearest the door. The thermometer is hanging on the wall and you should be able to click on it, and Jonathan will comment.

The map is on the right side wall as you enter the room, just a little way in, set between two windows. There is a small table set below it.

Tysonboxer,
I have the feeling that you might be in the wrong room. If you'd been in the study you couldn't miss the map.
So enter the Gardonyi museum. If you stand facing the receptionist, the study is on the right (the room with the bookshelves around the wall). If you enter this room there will be 3 windows on the right and the map is between the two closest to the entrance. (But that comes in later).
On the left, you see the cabinets with the books and if you move towards the left corner you'll see something hanging on the wall. This is a traditional analog thermometer (using mercury - and that's what you're looking for in this puzzle). You just need to close up on it.

(If you happen to be in the bedroom, there are two windows there too but no map between them and there is an instrument on the wall beside the door but that's a thermostat for the heating and not a traditional thermometer.)

OK stupid me was in the wrong room, now i am looking at the painting on the easel and looking down, but I dont see the bottom of the doors painted like the walkthru says. I opened the leaflet of the museum and looked at the map on the back, but now squares are interactive with. I think I missed something again.

While you're standing in front of the easel, look to your left at the cabinet by the wall, and look down, the bottom panels of that cabinet should be painted. You won't be able to click on them or interact in any way.

The cipher sais the fifth message is guarded by Mercury. You're on the right track because you've found something with Mercury. But there are more! Ask everyone you can: the lady in the museum, the historian in the cafe and of course Juli. Try to phone her if she's not in the office. You may even ask the hotel receptionist if you want to hear a story about motor car business crazy You need to hear what they say before being able to use the leaflet. (In general, in this game it's a good idea to keep going back to the same people and ask questions...)

Then did you find the items that are related to Mercury? There are 3 of these in the shop.
