Been play a hour or so now its good so far just stuck.

Im annoyed. I bought the game from them and the serial number doesn't work! Grr! I emailed but its been about 8 hours and they haven't replied. Just wish I'd waited for a couple more hours as I could have bought it from The Adventure Shop.

That stinks hopefully they got support in weekends also so u dont have to wait until monday

I only went with them cos they were cheaper than Iceberg and the other direct download site. Rar!

I have got a lot of games from them and never any problems. I copy and past a lot of numbers and none of them worked. I used the serial# next to the game on gamersgate. No luck.

I tried replacing 1s for Is and Us for Vs, but still no dice.

I copy and past the number so I can't make a mistake but it still doesn't work.

Copy and paste the activation code.
Then Retype manually the first set of the code.
You should see 'next' at bottom of the frame.
It should activate then.

I put the activation code in the blank space. and pressed next. Where do I manually retype the first set of the code.

Tried that but the problem lies in that mine and kjos serials are not in the database. Me and another person posted on the Gamersgate "forums", but they delete the thread every time. Seems like they're covering up? If they have the time to delete the thread then they have the time to help people who pay them for software, surely? OK, rant over. :-)

If you see the 'next' and have clicked it - then it should be call 'home' to activate the game.

I didn't download from gamers gate. I used The Adventure Shop - so the activation frame might be a lil different.

Ah - sorry that you guys are having problems.

I'm afraid I'm in the same boat as AmunPtah and kjos. I had pre-ordered the game from GamerGate last month, downloaded it this morning, entered my Serial and got the same response. I exchanged e-mails with the folks at Securom who confirmed that the Serial I'd been provided was not in their database at all. I'm still waiting on word from Gamersgate. I checked the Game Tutor section of the GamersGate website a short time ago and another user has posted about the exact same problem, so I'm assuming it's widespread amongst those who purchased from GamersGate. Hopefully, support will provide all of us with valid Serials or Manual Unlock Codes soon, so we can join the rest of you lucky dogs that are already exploring the haunted station.

That was probably me on the Game Tutor. I've never had an issue before with GamersGate, so I didn't think twice about ordering it without stopping here first. All I've managed to get is an automated response to my email, so now I'm waiting for the 'personal' tech support to respond.

What a waste of an evening.

I ordered a game from Microids shop a few and have still to recieve and email from them. I was just lucky I`d made a copy of the code at the time. I also emailed them when I couldnt get the game to work - never got a reply from that either. Forgive me if I dont shed too many tears for software houses when they go on about drop in profits. Clearly some of them just cant be bothered.

I am also having the same troulbe. I e-mail both Gamersgate and the download company with no luck so far. My next step is Paypal and ask them for my money back.

That's what I am considering too!

How would you go about getting a refund? I used PayPal. Thanks

I am sorry you all are having difficulties with the ordering aspect. I hope it doesn't sour you on the game, once you receive it. I was able to benefit from this thread when I checked Gameboomers yesterday and I ordered it though Adventure Shop and had absolutely no hassles whatsoever.

Let me just say, and I hope that Jonathan is reading, I have never ever played a game this good. It's the creepiest, most ghoulish, macabre, unsettling and disconcerting gaming experience I've had the pleasure to experience, from things as mundane as the various ambient sounds, old posters on the walls, scribbles and graffiti, to the various encounters you will experience. The background story is sad and haunting, yet profoundly disturbing at the same time. The sountrack is pitch-perfect and will send chills up and down your spine.

And seeing the ghastly visuals that Jonathan presents will let your imagination take you places you definitely do not want to go.

I can't really think of a better compliment than that. Jonathan scared the &^$^$#! out of me with Lost Souls.

you have me really excited to play the game! I haven't heard from GamersGate today, so it looks like Monday will be the earliest we will hear from them. I'm going away on Tuesday so probably won't get to play before I go :-(
On the upside I will be staying in Lost Crown country, getting to see all the real locations from the game!

I succumbed and bought the game from the Adventure Shop! Downloading now. I have emailed GamersGate asking for a refund/credit.

I am trying and trying to download from TAS and it keeps getting to the check-out page and nothing happens. I can't enter any payment info. GRRRR! I HAVE TO HAVE THIS GAME RIGHT NOW

Is there any credit card logos under your info?

Did you get the download highlighted on top and explanations at the bottom?

Nah there's nothing. When I go to checkout, on the right there is an empty white box that says payment details, but nowhere to enter anything. I opening the site under Internet Explorer, which is what I'm using. Waiting for another response. Thanks!
