I am so stuck. I need to find the Library for the first time. I can't jump there since I have not been there and it isn't on the map. I can't find the main gate. I am looking for the broken necklace. Please, some directions to the Library from Akkad's workshop.

Hi charward,

I believe the main gate is where you came in at the beginning of the game, close to the pyramid.

Make sure that you have taken the letter from the librarian from the wall scroll slot in the observatory/workshop, and read it, otherwise you won't be able to get through the gates.

I have read the librarian's letter but I can not find a gate or a door that will open. I thought I came in via the bloody trail to the pyramid. But that way leads to the door that is intact. I can find no other exit. I'm sure I am missing something but what?

Exit the building.
Go around that pyramid that stands at the center of the compound. See the main path that leads to the main gate.

The main path is what I can't find. Down the bloody path?

Yes - that one. That blood on the ground is close to the main gate.

I am about to give up on this game. I went back and replayed a lot of the game and finally got the door (gate) to open. I have been to the library and made the figurines (3). I have heard his demand for four god statuettes. But when I get to the mausoleum I see the 4 holes and the three plugs. I have read the hieroglyphs, but when I pull the left plug nothing happens. I can not figure out what I may have left out. Also, most of the time the map does not work for me. I think at this point I need a save, if possible.

I have done all those things. The problem, I think,is according to the walkthrough when I pull the left plug water is supposed to flow but no water flows out. So I tried all the other things anyway but the door does not open.

I can only remember this puzzle vaguely. I still have my saves for this game but they are mostly unlabelled. I can send you a few from around this point and you can choose which is best for you, otherwise we can wait for someone with a labelled save to put you in exactly the right spot.

Thank you so much. The third save was exactly what I needed. The door was open but nothing else was done. So I could continue. I really appreciate the help.

I have been playing this game on my laptop and wanted to install and play on my desktop instead. It installs but when it gets to the screen that says my apartment is yours (or something similar) the screen is dark and I can't continue. There are no patches and my video driver is current so why is this happening?

After a long time I am trying to finish this game. Iam at the catapult and the ball was broken. I can't find the rubble on the wall. Can you help. I get to the place where if says it is jammed but no where can I get a cursor for rubble.

Hi charward,

I moved you back to your old thread for this game. smile

Take a look at THIS YouTube video walkthrough excerpt, it might help you with finding the rubble and fixing the jammed equipment.

Let us know if you still have problems.

Stuck again. Lots of busy work in this game. I have made the poisoned and fragranced washbowl and bowl and Kordax is asleep. But I can't take his washbowl and the YouTube WT doesn't help this time. Help or a save would be appreciated.

If Kordax has already fallen asleep then you're having a Good Day and so don't have to worry about taking the washbowl.

Go right on and take the items from the bag on the floor and continue the game.

I took the crown piece and automatically blew the horn. But nothing triggers Iris talking about her bracelet. Can't advance at this point,

Are you sure you need the bracelet? Wasn't that only needed if you needed to put Kordax to sleep? think If you're having a Good Day then be sure to ignore everything in the Bad Day paragraph of the walkthrough, as those tasks won't apply.

If you've spoken to Iris after blowing the horn and she mentioned the crown pieces, try jumping to the mausoleum and carrying on. luck

I seem to have more problems in this part of the game. Not always easy to tell when the bad day is over. I am in the mausoleum and have placed the medallions. But I can't get the rods to go into the holes. Thomas says something about needing some else. What am I missing?
