I might be asking a really dumb question here ... I just replayed Dreamfall, the Longest Journey (already played the first game about 3 times) and ... well... they really left the ending open, didnt they? Zoey DIDN'T save April Ryan yet we know April lived on because at the end of The Longest Journey (first one) there she is by the fire with an ancient Crow.
Anyway the question is ... are there any plans (hopes) for a third one ????????

Hi.
I don't know if the protocol here is to start new thread or dig up old ones and post in them, but this one doesn't seem too old.

I want to add my question to the mix. Don't read if you don't want spoiler-things:

Click to reveal..
I didn't quite get why Zoe is able to reach Arcadia when she's hooked up to the dreamer console. Does this happen to everyone who is hooked up to the flower-thing? Does it only work for people who are special?
Also, what is this place with the subterranean city? Is that a place between worlds?

I did quite like the game, actually. My only gripe is the controls. The Longest Journey was so much better for PC gamers. This one seems like it was designed for console games and adapted to the PC as an afterthought.

Hi Smooshmonster --

It's been years since I've played this game, but from what I recall
Click to reveal..
Yes, Zoe is special, and the power to dream herself into Arcadia is very unusual. The subterranean city does seem to be a place between Stark and Arcadia that perhaps others have used to go to and fro -- but apparently not recently.

Maybe someone who has played the game more recently has more theories?

It's also been a while since I've played, but:

I *think* I thought that the plant has a close relation to Arcadia. Unfortunately I don't remember many details of the plot, but wasn't the whole plant thing somehow effecting both worlds - Arcadia and Stark?
Perhaps even - the plant would give access to any Strakian wanting to visit Arcadia. Somehow, I don't recall any obvious evidence for either theory, but it feels to me that's what I used to think.

There's definitely definitely definitely no logic to human behaviour.

Thanks both of you for the answers. It seems to have been left to interpretation, but Becky's theory is the one I was leaning towards as well. I loved the whole "Stark" side of the story the most.

I hope we will get more answers in the third game.
