Hello; I am totally confused now. I guess I didn't get Nicole fast enough to the break in the wall after the bell rung, so now I do not have the big stone or the film container with the water in the inventory. What do I do now? Thanks for any info. Judy DD.

Hi Judy,

Please stay with this thread now for any questions you have on this game. thanks You can find all your posts at My Place at the top of the page. Keeping to one thread helps us follow your play.

You should be able to return to the wall shelf by the gate and collect the film container, and replay the puzzle. I'd suggest saving your game directly before playing this part, so if it goes wrong you can hop back to a save.

luck Let us know how you get on.

Rushes, I returned twice and there was no container or stone. I thought it would be like the tire: you tried until it worked. So I'm stuck. Sorry if I didn't go to the right place, I didn't know about the "my place". Now I do. Thank you for your patience for those of us who are new to threads, etc. Any pointers would be great! Judy D

Judy,

I did this several times when I played and you can redo that ringing of the bell setup.
Climb the bucket and rearrange the closed container with fizzing aspirin behind the big stone on the cornice.

MaG; I would redo except I don't have the lg stone or the container on the ledge or in inventory. I tried to even go back to the boat. Nothing helped Any ideas? Judy D.

Judy, that's strange. Have you checked also on the ground around the gate/wall area? I have a saved game after this puzzle inside the mansion grounds if you would like it.

Rushes: You were right, of course. I found the items on the ground and after several tries, I finally climbed the wall. I don't know if I can answer another question, but I'm supposed to attached a ring to the screwdriver and rubber : I don't have a ring. If I have to rewrite this in another I will. I think I need a save to get into the window. Thanks for all the help. I like the game...the timed places are "interesting". Judy D.

Judy,

Sorry - the ring is the one from the mannequin's arm when you were in Moulin Rouge.
Please check to see if you still have it.
You used it before.

I also sent you a saved game.

Here I am again; the save that was sent to me didn't work, I even had my son talk me through it. I'm wondering that some how the ring that was attached to the rubber suction disappeared. so I can't get the basement window opened. Do I have to return to the boat and start from there? Sorry, I didn't respond right away, we went out of town, plus I was so frustrated! I think this is a part of playing these games. Thanks for any suggestions. Judy D.

The ring is not part of the rubber suction.
The lady's ring is from the mannequin in the dressing room.
First combine the hanger with suction and the screwdriver. This makes a suction with handle.
Then you add a lady's ring to that setup. The ring has a diamond that you use to cut glass.

Hi;Well, I had the ring in inventory and made thru the window and on to the difficult puzzle that I am now working on. Thank you for your patience and I will go on the post now that I can see how it is difficult to follow my questions. If I have another question on another game, where do I ask? I see the "new topic" so I assume that for a new game, that is where I would start. I am definitely a new bommer, but I sure enjoy the learning and all your expertise. Thank you Judy D.

Hunt for the puppeteer" I am having a problem at the point where Nicole ask for smaller brushes. I think I need a save. Thank you for your help. I hope I put this request in the right place this time. Judy D.

Almost. wink I moved your post back to your own thread for this game.

What problem are you having with the brushes? Here's what needs to be done to trigger the conversation with Manuel:

- Look close at the standing fan.
- Open the cover of the fan. Turn the switch on and off.
- Take the fan brushes. Right click the fan brushes in inventory. It is worn out.
- Pull back and take the pillow from the floor.
- Talk to Ines about repair. Exit the area.
- Talk to Manuel and get engine brushes.

Replay the scene in that order, making sure to right click on the original brushes in your inventory, and you should get through.

Hi Rushes: It's me again. I have the wide brushes, but I continue to get "ending", when I try to ask Manuel for smaller ones. I have follow the directions, but always th same "ending". Thank you for your time. Judy D

I see where you are now, sorry. Did you try and fit the brushes that Manuel gave you on the fan? Make sure that Nicole comments that they are too wide. Then go back to Manuel and that should trigger the dialogue. (He doesn't have any smaller brushes, so Nicole then has to work out a way to adjust the brushes she has.)

Rushes: Yes, I did try and fit the first brushes and Nicole commented that they are too wide. When I go back to Manuel, no dialogue. Can I just go on to the grindstone or will that not work? Gosh, I was doing so good too!! Thanks for your help..Heavens know I need it. I so enjoy these journeys, but don't understand why I get stuck. Judy D,

Hmmm, I wonder why Manuel won't speak to you. think You could try the part with the grindstone and see if the game allows you to progress, or you could go back to a previous save and replay this part.

At any rate, I'll send you my last saved game before you go in to see Madame, and you can use that as a last resort. smile On its way to you in a few minutes.

Hello: You sent a save, but it didn't work. I had my computer son help and he said perhaps it needed a patch. It seems to be a glitch. I am not sure what all the computer language means. Anyway, I just can't get Nicole to talk to Manuel about smaller brushers for the fan. Also, the rules say "mark all posts as read after..I just don't know where to click. I am really a novice and sure appreciate all your advise. Judy D.

I would suggest going back to an earlier save game and replaying through exactly by the walkthrough. There is something you've missed doing but it's difficult to say what. I'm not aware of a glitch in the game at this point so hopefully it's just a missed action somewhere.

Hi, here I am again about the ART of Murder 2: I stopping trying to get smaller brushes, so I played another game. This morning, I started again at an earlier place.. no luck for Manuel to give me smaller brushes. I just get the same "ending". Is there any other advice on how to get through? I was doing ok until this point. Thanks once again. Judy D.

You won't get any smaller brushes off Manuel - he doesn't have any. When Nicole goes back to speak to Manuel after trying out the wider brushes and noting that they don't fit (do make sure that you get this comment from Nicole), then he will say so.

Nicole then needs to adjust the wide brushes to fit the fan.

I'm in Cuba at the Estate and village.I did everything , I got the comment for the wide brushes of the fun, but when it comes to Manuel to give me the stick I receive a "ending" in the dialog box
