I wondered if anybody has managed to unlock the minigames and if so how did you do it.
I've got some of the pictures and videos but not the games

Has any one seen any little gray cells around as I think I've lost some? Reward for finder.

Hi old lady,

I unlocked just one measly photo, and the videos, but none of the mini games.

I just now Googled to see if anyone else might have had better luck than us, but came up a blank.

If anyone here managed to get to any of the mini games, I hope they'll post. I'm wondering if they're the same as in the main game, or entirely different? think

Good thread!! I've seen two "videos" but no idea when to take a picture or how the "mini-games" can be brought into play. So, I'll be watching this thread to see if anyone comes up with a solution to this mystery. laugh

I didn't do it......and if I did I'm not guilty!

I think it may just be down to taking lots (and lots) of photos during the game.

I Googled some more, and found that it's possible to manually unlock the extras. A forum member at adventuregamers.com says:

You can also just change a few values in a configfile to unlock them, as I did. It's in the saves folder, I believe, and the values are self-explanatory. smile

They didn't say what the extras consisted of, though, except that they weren't especially interesting.

You seem to be able to take photos of the dead body and the crime scean in Maine, also the ocean in Maine and the street in Willow Creek. Also the police women

Sometimes you cannot take a photo when you first meet them e.g. you can only photo Toms brother, (who's name I have forgotten) when he is blowing bubbles.

I think there should be a full list added to a walkthrough somewhere. Perhaps we can work it out. When I've finished the game, I think I'll complete whatever I missed by manipulating the config, and then by that I'll try to figure out what else to shoot...

So far this is my list:

2. The junk shop door when it's not raining
3. The doctor while he's sitting in the cafe
4. The policewoman (sitting in the policestation)
16. Fuller's body in the morgue
17. Fuller's body's chalk outline in the red room
21. The spin drier in the backyard of the photos store when it's not raining
22. The ocean when it's not raining (near the post office)
23. The fusebox in the cellar of the photos store, after you change the fuse

I've opened number 11. Don't know how but it is a picture of a lot of people in the restaurant.
20. Take a picture of the large mirror that needs the ball.

1. The wine glasses in Angelina's Biddeford hotel room.
6. Street next to the clock tower (in Willow Creek)

That #11 might be a problem. It's a picture showing all the characters in Biba's cafe. I tried the camera on everything in Biba's cafe but nothing works. Tell me, Cathy1, did you finish the game? Because I have a theory that this picture is a bonus for finishing the game. I haven't finished it myself yet, so I can't tell.

The video extras are added automatically as you finished chapters, I figured that out. No idea how to get the minigames though. Don't even know how to add them manually to the config file.

Yes I finished the game. I never checked any of the bonuses while I was playing so I don't know when the cafe picture emerged. Sorry. Those were the only 2 pictures I had in the bonus section. Maybe you can add everyones picture number to your own post and when we seem to have them all maybe MaG can add them to her walkthrough.

So I guess #11 does get unlocked automatically when you finish the game.

Cathy

Yes, that would be great. I have this to add for now:

7. The beer glasses in the Willow Creek pub

But get this - I unlocked one of the minigames smile Minigame #5 can be unlocked by taking a picture of Bob blowing bubbles (in the museum). #5 is not really a minigame, it actually unlocks the "big heads" option (you have to mark it in the mini-games menu and then click Start Mini-Game, and the bighead option will be added to the Options menu).
Incidentally, we've discussed this hidden option feature in this thread.

So now I have a question for old lady - you were the one that said in this thread that you can shoot Bob while he's blowing bubbles. But you also said that you didn't unlock ANY of the minigames... didn't it unlock minigame #5 for you?

I have a question. I remember putting whiskey and a string or something in Angelina's glass in her hotel room. I first thought I was making a moltov cocktail to blow up something. But I can't remember what happened after that. Did you try that and try to take a picture or is my brain getting a bit feeble ? I remember replying to the thread about the big head mode. It made me laugh out loud when I saw the pics of it. That's excellent that you unlocked that mini game. Keep up the good work.

Well, I've just loaded a saved game from before making that "molotov cocktail", and tried taking pictures of it at every stage of the process. It didn't work...

So it wasn't just my imagination about being able to make a moltov cocktail ? I wonder what's it's used for then. I don't think you can pick it up.

I have a couple more

(obviously, spoilers for locations but I'll keep them to a minimum)

10. Monolith Wales Castle
12. Family Tree Black Mirror Castle
14. Water tank in sewer system
15. Hole in mine shaft
19. Stone Head Academy Ruins
24. Statue outside castle Wales
25. Stone Plinth Academy Ruins
26. Burned Grass Academy Ruins
27. Compressor in cellar of bunker

Photographing the grand piano in the Welsh castle unlocks the mini-game #3 "piano"

I'll be back, one day, when I feel like it.

I found a couple more:

5. Reginald Boris (photo of corpse in locker)
8. Murray at the Hotel in Willow Creek

You can take photos of the following too, apparently:

Hospital - the nurse
Photoshop basement - scenery
Morgue - the guard
Junk Shop - Eddie (facing you)
Police Station - bulletin board
Biba's - dumpster

I have just finished Chapter 3 and have the following Mini Games:

1. Photofit
2. Letter
5. Bighead Mode

I gather that the Videos are triggered when you finish a Chapter.

I'll let you know if I find any more. thumbsup

It's not really a molotov cocktail, you use it for reading a letter that was written in invisible ink. You can't pick it up or take a photo of it.

That's interesting... I know that image #8 is of Murray, but I tried taking a picture of him in many occasions and it didn't work. Can you be more specific about it? Perhaps it's only in chapter 4? I've just finished chapter 3.

The police station bulletin board, which is actually called "manhunt pictures" in the game, unlocks minigame #1 - Photofit; Biba's dumpster, which you can only photograph in chapter 2 (when it's raining), unlocks minigame #2 - Letter.
However, I tried but couldn't shoot the other four objects you mention here. Do you happen to know what they unlock?

I kept trying to take pictures of Murray and finally got him after I completed the puzzle in the bedroom and needed a light.

I was only able to take photos of the bulletin board before I did the photofit and the dumpster in the rain. I have both mini games. I just read somewhere about the possibility of taking the other 4 photos, I could never do it. smile

Oh, and I found another one:-

9. Door in room in Wales where Darren was kept. (You have to get your stuff back and go back upstairs - I took a photo of the piano then too).

Edit:

I have finished the game. Have all 27 photos. The last few I got were:-

11. Mirror in secret room*
13. Gate/grill near the end of game
18. Body in bathroom
20. People in Biba's restaurant*

* I think these 2 pictures were reversed in original postings but I took picture of mirror, then checked extras and it came up as 11 (not 20). I am not sure how I got number 20. It wasn't there until I checked after I had finished the game! duh

I still only got 4 out of the 5 mini-games:

1. Photofit (unlocked by photo of "manhunt" board in Police Station)
2. Letter (unlocked by photo of dumpster in the rain)
3. Piano (unlocked by photo of piano)
4. ?
5. Big head mode (unlocked by photo of Bobby blowing bubbles)

What photo unlocks the 4th I wonder?

Hope this helps people who were interested. grin

Edit 2.

I found Mini-game 4. This is unlocked by taking a photo of the music box in the secret room and is called Turning Discs.rah

"Thank you for doing that Mystic Falls" would have been nice since I spent some considerable time on this. Why do I bother posting at all?

Thank you for doing that, Mystic Falls.

It wasn't mandatory for you to spend any considerable time on this. Cathy did indeed thank you for your previous post.

In fact, I notice that you did not thank any of the other contributors for their findings either. think
