When I try to start still life 2 it plays the intro cutscene and goes to the desktop. Has anyone had this problem?

Several folks (including myself) have had issues with the game - do you ever see the Start Menu, or does it go straight to the desktop?

I'm having a problem with the game too.....I can't play it at all I don't even get any cutscene...Whenever I click on the game's icon I only get a black screen and after that nothing happens :S ....and it's very annoying cause you're so excited to play a game and then you get all those error messages ;(

What is the error message that you're getting?

If you don't see the intro, and then it hangs or falls back to the desktop - I'm betting your video card isn't up to the job.

Did you allow DirectX to install as well as the game?
