I don't know if you can help with this problem, but I'm at the Storeroom in The Tower of London and I have found the footprints in what I suppose is flour, but when I click on the footprints nothing happens to bring up the magnifying glass and the tape measure to get past this part. I have your walkthrough and have managed to get this far, so please can you help or have you a saved game for this. Thank you for all the help you have given me in the past. June

I'm not MaG, but... are you able to crouch (using the Ctrl key) to get closer to the footprints in order to examine them? If not, perhaps adjust the direction of your approach and that may do the trick.

Hi Rushes I have tried crouching, but nothing, I was wondering when looking for the birds Sherlock kept saying I must know what bird it is, I must attract it, how on earth do you attract the bird please, perhaps that's why it wont let me go on any further, its just a thought. I also tried all the positions to try for the footsteps, but I still can't get the Magnifying glass or tape measure. Thanks June

Bird - Is this the one at Tower Green? If so, be sure to pick up the feather it dropped and examine it.

Footprint in front of storeroom: Check the map to be sure you are in front of the storeroom.
If you're playing the remastered - check the footprint in first person view. Follow what Rushes staed, see if you can move around or crouch closer.

Hi MaG Yes it is that piece and I did pick up the feather and examine it, it had been dyed black, should I have done anything else? as for storeroom is that the door by the scaffold with the two sacks underneath? I did stoop down but it still wouldn't show the magnifying glass or measuring tape. I will go back into the game and check. Thanks MaG June

Hi MaG Thank you for all your help I found the proper storeroom, I was looking at the map the wrong way, I went in the opposite way, how silly can I get, I just put it down to old age, I suppose at nearly 74 I'm allowed these little errors. Thank you anyway, I have now reached the weapons room, so hopefully I wont have any bother again. June

I'm stuck again in the Library, the clue mentions about the Englishman who wrote about Veronese Lovers, I have to type in a keyword, I have typed in various words which I thought might be the ones but to no avail, any clues please as to what word I should type in please. thanks for you help June
