It's been awhile since I've played this. I do remember this part as being tricky. You have to do things in a certain order. I'm sure you know GB has a w/t for the game. Good luck.

Be sure that you click on the gambler and then on the dice.

Click on him first. If he talks, better. The hero should note him first. Then he should note the dice. He will says something about something fishy about the dice. luck

Grrrr! Can't seem to find the dice! I've been trying everything. Even tried game in no show hot spots to see if that made a difference. I've tried his hand, cup and dice on table. I hate to ask but is there a help cheat for this part?

My saved games might be in my old computer. I can;t find it in this one.

Try this - this game is not linear - do other things first and then you can always come back and check here when you finished other tasks.

Also you can check this German walkthrough and see the pictures.

I see the pics, but it shows nothing, and I can't read German to see if there is a hint at that pic

Play other areas and then come back there after you do other tasks. The game is non-linear. luck

don't know if it may make a diff, but I am running Vista Ultimate 64 bit. All drivers and anything else I can think of is up to date. It works great up to this point.

I don't think it's a tech problem. A trigger might have been missed - like a dialogue with a character or a click on an active spot.

The start of this task is given by Long John Silver - he needs more men. So you look around at anybody that you can recruit. Talk to Long John again - you might have missed something there And also talk to all the other characters. luck

LOL! I figured it out finally. I got quite a bit farther (Where jim falls in the barrel), and game crashed! Will try once again to see if it happens again. Will let ya know.

John

------------

B.T.W. put get cursor on the table close to the middle and his hand near the edge, that is where ya can see the die.

Great that you're moving forward now.
Thanks for the headsup on the die location.

I finished the game, but was a bit disappointed in the ending. I thought that after all that Jlm and
Antionette had been thru that there should be a bit more romantic. Maybe the great gods will give em more of a chance in another game?
