I am in the lab and trying to scan both sides of the ticket. I copbuied both side of the coin but when I go to look at the ticket and coin in the computer, only the coin has both sides and only the front of the ticket is copied. Help!

Once you've scanned one side of the ticket, right-click on it to turn it over onto its other side.

The bus ticket goes straight to inventory when I try to turn it over.

Look at the ticket in close up while in inventory and then turn it over in large view. See if that works for you.

I have tried turning it while it is in the scanner and while it is in the hand, that is why I am contacting you. I am at a loss as to what to do next. Help!

Is the ticket in an evidence bag?
Try to redo this part and if you have done it successfully for the coin and the token - you should be able to do it for the ticket.

I have scanned the ticket and right-clicked on it which sends it right back to inventory. I have tried to scan it after turning it in close up while in gloved hand. That didn't work either. And I can't scan it while it is in the evidence bag or pick it up without the glove. I am running out of options. The scanner will only scan the front of the bus ticket. Help!!!!!

OK, when she scans the front of the bus ticket and then flips the ticket over in the scanner, I am unable to do that. I have a front and back copy of both of the other items, but I am unable to flip the ticket. When I try, it goes straight back to inventory.

I don't have a saved game here. Maybe someone else can help you.

Thanks to Newgames, I managed to get through that portion of the game. I am now stuck at the courthouse. I have the spade and am trying to break the chain on the advertising board. I have looked at the spade in close-up, and looked at the barred window and made a comment about the open window being to high. I have also look at the wall and mentioned that I needed a step. I have taken the spade to every inch of the chain on the advertising board, and have also tryed to place the spade in the empty space between the pole and chain. I keep getting "those things don't match and I don't think so". HELP!


Nevermind! Duh, I didn't see the doorway symbol and didn't realize I had to do it in close-up. Where did I put my brain???

Have you tried taking the ad board first (click on it) before breaking the chain?

I realized that I had not gone into the close-up. Duh, I felt like such a dimwit. Thanks though. Peace

Hi: I just finished scanning the seed and printed both sides of the LA CO. map and plant occurence areas. I really to leave the lab and investagate the murders call. However, I can Leave the Lab. I get the message "I shoulleave everything as it is otherwise Wang will pick on me" I turned off the microscope light. I wasn't able to retrieve the seeds on the microscope glass from the stage. I thought maybe it went back into the inventory.

Anyway, I'm following the GB W/T. Maybe some one can give me a hint or send me a "saved" gamme.

Check if you still have an evidence bag; check the analyzer and the other machines you used. I don;t have a saved game here. Sorry.

Hi MaG: I see in previous posts in this thread "Newgames" or "grooviesherry" have saved games past this point. How do I send a SOS to them and maybe they can send me a saved game?

Hi MaG: This a great "saved" game web-site.

Initially, I downloaded it, unzipped it,opened the yellow folder and put in in myDoc/AOM/saved games folder and renumbered it the next #: save0034. However, when I started the game the "new" saved game wasn't present either in the begining or end of my current games.

So, I deleted and redownloaded a zipped/yellow folder/"sgs_1166" to my desktop. I have Win. XP.

When you have a moment will you send me the steps to go from this point?

Try extracting the file to desktop and renumbering it there before moving it to your AOM save folder.

It's just possible that the save file version isn't compatible with your own game. That's a common problem with the Art of Murder games.

Hi Rushs: Thanks for the tip. I did the steps and the downloaded the saved game, extracted and numbered correctly. My game doesn't acknowledge it.

Hi,

I found if I made another save, where I needed one then checked and made sure I numbered the save I got to exactly what the last save I had, then dropped and dragged the save into the game, some times it would ask if I wanted to replace the save I had and it would work. Not always but it's worth a try.
