Even though my "to play" stack of games (older & newer) is absolutely verging on total teeter collapse mode, I couldn't resist yet another trip through Morrowind lol
Every time I play I find new places to explore and new quests to complete - and how fantastic is that ?? yay

Glad you like it so much Mad.

I always tend to go back to some of the older games.

That one I never finished for some reason.

Playing older game right now. One new one

So strange, I just bought the game of the year edition today! I'm having such a good time right now playing Oblivion that I figured I'd give Morrowind a shot. Those two games should keep me fairly busy until Skyrim comes out.

Have fun. Morrowind is the RPG that really got me hooked on these type of games. Before that I just dabled a little. I've spent a lot of hours exploring Morrowind.

Enjoy your game laugh

Just goes to show how people's tastes can differ.
I got so tired playing Morrowind that I can't even bear to look at the copy of fallout 3 I have lying around. Everytime I think of playing it, I get tired just thinking of all the walking around I had to do in Morrowind... blush

I loved Morrowind, but didn't finish it cause I kept getting lost, lol. Maybe one day I'll pull it out again.

One of these days I'm gonna disappear into Morrowind. Son talked about it so much!

Well I certainly like the way the places you need to visit are ready pinpointed for you on the map in Oblivion and the fast travelling that's available - but I feel the quests in Morrowind are more interesting and much less repetative smile

[With Morrowind I just go to the excellent on-line maps for help if I definitely CAN'T find a place I need to reach].

I didn't even get a third of the way through Oblivion before I got fed up and uninstalled it. But I know I'm in a minority there as it's such a hugely popular game laugh

Pack your bags and make the trip, looney4labs !! Morrowinding is a brilliant pastime bravo

Mad, I'm with you. I think Morrowind is by far the superior game of the two. Oblivion was a lot of fun and nice to look at, but Morrowind was grittier and darker and exploring seemed more meaningful somehow.

I think I'm quite ready for another adventure.

Hi Mad. I'm so glad to know that others are enjoying Morrowind too. I had played part of it a few years ago but never finished it, then started again a couple of months ago. This time I aim to finish it---especially now that I've found some great mods. I'm addicted to houses and it's fun to have my own without having to kill someone to get it. LOL smile

I've been considering digging it up and giving it another go while waiting for Skyrim. November can't get here fast enough.

I've dabbled many times in Morrowind - but only ever actually played the ending ONCE lol

I just think it's a superb game and love getting back into it because I can always find a quest I've not previously undertaken or, by simply travelling round and about, come across places I've not previously explored thumbsup

Oh, I love mods! I was so happy to find that there were several house mods for Morrowind. It made me decide to finally get the game.

I just downloaded a mod for Oblivion that really changes the Bravil house you can buy. It look so much nicer. I'm just making some changes to it myself and it'll be perfect. I think I'm going to put a cat in there to for a pet. laugh

Mad I look at the Morrowind walkthroughs and then go to areas where the quests are and sort of make them happen, I love quests!! I love fighting too and armor and weapons and playing with my stuff in the Guilds. I don't think I will ever finish it though.

What kind of magic spell to use?

I don't know when I might play the ending again, hawkavonpuka, but I probably will at some time.

Meanwhile, I'll just keep having great times - very gradually getting there !! taz

Dog or cats for sure. I've already made a couple of dogs. They don't really do anything though, just kind of hang out where you put them.

There are a few mods out there for pets or companions. This one automatically adds a dog to any house in the game that you can purchase. It actually adds two dogs to the house in Bruma.

This mod right here is called Cheydinhal Petshop. It adds a shop where you can purchase pets and they have a variety of animals. A few different breeds of dogs, a mountain lion, tiger, a few different kinds of bears, etc. They can be told to wait and follow and I think you can buy things to resurrect them if they are killed in battle.

This mod actually adds a little fox companion to the game.

I know at one point I saw a mod that had a model for rabbits. It would easy to add those to the game as well.
