I don't know if you have already played this game, but I am stuck in level 5 the Doctors House, I need to open a book with a code, the code is supposed to be 457 but it doesn't do 457 just 456 which is useless, any ideas as to what to do please.

Have you tried aligning the number 457 with the arrows? wave

Did you find the code yourself with the telescope first?

Sorry to be the skunk at the picnic, but I'm having technical issues with this game. After waiting patiently for the game to go standard, I'm very frustrated. Especially since it's the weekend and tech support likely won't get back to me until Monday. I've had the same problem with at least 3 games prior to this one. Cursor starts lagging and then game goes into slow motion. Disabling custom cursor helps for a little while and then the game just keeps slowing down. Tried uninstall/reinstall, and that's about all I know to do. Last time I contacted tech support about this issue, they had me run Dr. Felix which came up with nothing. I've played many other games without running into this problem. Wish someone could figure out why this is happening.

Unfortunately there are so many different setups on our computers it is hard to determine what software you may have installed or what settings you have that could interfere with a game. That is why consoles are so much better for gaming. I hope you can figure out why it doesn't run.

Okay. Call me crazy. I really wanted to play this game. So I persisted, despite the problems I was having. Today the game is working just fine. Spooky! crazy

I just finished the Collector's Edition and love this game. Just when I thought the ending was near and started feeling down it kept on going for me nice surprise. I definitely got my money's worth with the CE.
A fantastic game! thumbsup

hoescht, I see others on the BF forum with the same problem. You will need to contact customer support and let them know.

I was enjoying this game but then had what surely must be some sort of glitch. In chapter 2 I completed one of the hidden object scenes and had an arrow which I used for the next puzzle but didn't have time to complete the puzzle so left it for a couple of days. Just went back on to it and found that the arrow was no longer there so have no way of completing the puzzle. Wouldn't matter in the least with a "normal" adventure game as then you can just go back to a previous save but with these games there seems to be no such thing other than to start the whole game over again! Maybe I'm just going nuts! Any suggestions???

Have you tried uninstalling and then reinstalling the game to see if the arrow shows up after that? Sometimes doing this will correct a problem of this nature (it does sound like a glitch, although I am not familiar with this particular game).

No I hadn't tried that Marian, I guess if I do I'll have to do everything I've already done all over again though, guess I may have to try it as a last resort (although I really don't want to!)

Jo, I'm pretty sure that you will not lose your game progress by uninstalling and reinstalling; after having done so, the game should pick up where you left off. It's worth a try, anyway. Sorry about your difficulties with the game. wave

Thanks Marian, I may as well give that a go, certainly worth a try anyway.

This may be of help to some people.
I have been having problems with lots of Big Fish games (including this one) for quite some time with screens and mouse constantly freezing and having to wait for anything up to 2 minutes for screens to unfreeze. Sometimes waiting does nothing so have to soft boot and to start again due to corrupt files.
I recently read on a tech forum that as graphic card drivers become more sophisticated the resolution on monitors needs to be increased. I have religiously installed the latest drivers for my Nvidia 8600GT and the problem with Big Fish games has increased. It also applies to other games that previously played fine e.g. Baron Wittard and Conspiracies 2.
So I have found that if I lower my resolution to around 1024 X 728 very few freezes occur. With some games the problem goes away completely. wave
