I know a lot of you praise Interact for their customer service and prompt shipping, so I decided to take a chance and place my first order. But, I haven't been so fortunate. I placed an order on 6/29 for an in stock item. It's now 3-4 days later and it still hasn't shipped. I called and asked what the deal was and the guy who answered the phone said only Dave could answer that and he wasn't there at the moment. I sent an email yesterday asking to cancel the order and haven't heard anything back. Like most things in life I guess YMMV.

I am sorry you had a bad experience, but I am sure that Dave will straighten it out for you.

I can assure you from my experience with Interact ..That they have good customer service..I am sure that its just a mis -understanding or maybe a back order problem..

I got an e-mail from Dave Saturday 6/18 saying he would be out of town until Thursday.

I have been buying from Interact for years. I go to Dave first when I want somethng and he usually can get it to me in a day or two and sometimes over night.

Same here, customer for many years now and Dave/Interact! is always very helpfuland kind, and ships superfast. There must be a (family?) problem I guess.

You wouldn't by any chance live in Canada, would you, golly_woogle? I think someone just said there's a postal strike going on there and Dave is holding orders for Canada until it's over.

I called Dave Tuesday night to add an item to a pending order, and the lady said that Dave was out of town and to call back Friday morning 9:00am Pacific time.

Of all things, I normally get the short end no matter what, but I can tell you, Dave is magnificent. He has honored my on again-off again pre order of Bracken Tor and others. He has even accepted returned games from me for full refund! He might be sick right now, or whatever. I believe in Dave. He will get back to you.

Thanks for your post, BubbJake. I can totally relate. From all the good things people have said about Interact, this must be some kind of an anomaly. It was actually my wife who ordered this for me as a belated Father's day gift, thinking it would be here in a day or two - sometimes I think I'm a walking example of Murphy's Law.

I can also say how good Dave is, I am in the UK but he has unfailingly replied to e mails, even on a Sunday, when I haven't received a game he has checked into it and sent another, I agree it is very unusual for Dave not to be there so there must be a good reason and I'm sure he will sort it out ASAP.

Fortunately this is a story with a happy ending. I found a store in the UK that carries the game I want (A New Beginning) and with shipping it's $10 less than what I would have paid here. So, it all worked out for the best in the end. Years ago it used to be quite common to order adventure games from across the pond and I never once had a problem. I did get an email from Interact saying they had cancelled my order with a "Thanks" at the end.

So far I've had very good service from Interact. I just got my copy of Black Mirror 3 today - 2 days after I got an e-mail saying it had shipped. Thanks Dave!

I have ordered a LOT of games over the last years, primarily because I could get shipped while in Europe or at my US address, and nothing has gone missing, and upon an email - Dave has been fast to cancel or correct or reship or even change addresses. he is IMHO, the best in the storefront biz.

I also had to cancel and re-order the same game. Some info that might help clarify...

If an item that is released is in "yellow type" that means he is awaiting shipment of more games - so it will be shipped as soon as he gets more copies.

I waited too late and so was one of the people who had to wait, and I can't say this for a fact, but he may not have gotten as many copies as he expected when the game was released.

He has no control over that - since it is all on the publisher when they ship, what they ship (or press) and when they can (or will) ship more copies of the game. They may be sold out ,,,it is a VERY popular game Which is most excellent for a great development team! Personally, I am thrilled to get the game "in the box" as it were
