I saw that there are annual game lists and hall of famers but I wasn't sure if they were all point and clicks--hence this topic smile

I've played Most ND games, Journey to the Center of the Earth, Dreamfall (though not exactly point and click), Syberia, and currently playing Syberia 2. Not a lot, but I thoroughly enjoyed them.

So I'm on the hunt for the best and perhaps underrated point and clicks (3rd or 1st, doesn't matter). Share your opinions, please!

The point-and-click games that were on my List this year are:

Ankh 1 (Reverse the Curse)
Aura 2 (Sacred Rings)
Blue Madonna: A Carol Reed Mystery
Dark Fall Lost Souls
Edna & Harvey: The Breakout
Ghost Pirates of Vooju Island
Gray Matter
Lost Horizon
Memento Mori
Myst III: Exile
Nancy Drew: The Phantom of Venice
Next BIG Thing, The
Secrets of Da Vinci, The: The Forbidden Manuscript
Sherlock Holmes: Nemesis
Whispered World, The
Yoomurjak's Ring

I agree that Dreamfall was a good game, though not point-and-click.

Zak McKracken and the Alien Mindbenders. I run the Zak McKracken archive, so I'm hopelessly biased. smile

Grim isn't a point and click either, venus. It's one of the very few keyboard-controlled games I can play without going off my nut and still the best game ever to me.

edit~ but you knew that. You just couldn't leave it out of your favs. wink

Ah, you're right of course! slapforehead lol I wasn't thinking at the time, I'm just so used to including it. And yes, I just can't leave it off my favorites list. grin

I loved Zak and I was the only Gameboomer to add it to my recommendation list this year. I wish the game would be remade with current graphics.

Other favorites are The Longest Journey, Ankh, Syberia 1, Runaway, and Gabriel Knight 2: The Beast Within.

It's nice to be important but it is much more important to be nice.

A lot of MY absolute favourites are veeerrryyy old lol and fall into the "Classics" category but many of them can now be played again on modern machines thanks to those wonderful people who come up with magic installers and companies like GOG and DotEmu who offer them ready tweaked and DRM Free.

bravo bravo bravo

As regards slightly more recent releases however (those that I have managed to get to from my ever growing "yet to play" stack) a few I have been greatly entertained by are :

Art of Murder Series
Carol Reed Series
Chronicles of Mystery Series
Ghost Pirates of Vooju Island
Last Half Darkness Series
Lost Crown Ghost Hunting Adventure
Lost Horizon
Sherlock Holmes Series [Frogwares]

All of which have probably been mentioned here already !!
But further endorsement can surely only be good thumbsup
