@Ironcode,

Thanks so much for a quick first look at your new game. Can't tell very much from the peek you gave, but if it is as good as your last, then I for one will be buying.

What is the name of your 3D editor; if you don't mind me asking?

Thanks everyone for the nice comments. I am sorry I didn't quite get what Ana meant by linking - I thought I was doing it right.

We're trying to make it better than the previous one, hopefully we will succeed. We use Blender 3D for our 3D art.

Thanks Ironcode,

The link to Blender 3D was very much appreciated! Have already joined their Wiki and downloaded Blender. Have been interested in this stuff for years and now that I am retired have the time to finally do something about it. There is a wealth of information on the Wiki, it is hard to know where to begin. So after installing Blender will start with the "Blender Beginners Course" tutorials, seems to be just what the doctor ordered. Looks to be a long, but from my point of view, enjoyable process.

Thanks again for the link and will be looking forward to seeing your new game.

Glad to know the link was of help. Here is a link to BlenderArt, a free blender magazine that may be useful. IronCode's Gaurav is one of the editors smile

Ironcode,

Thanks for the additional link. Have already downloaded all of the back issues. You were right, they will be a very big help to me. Am currently in the process of taking John Blain's/Neal Hirsig's introductory Blender 3D Design for beginners in order to learn how to use Blender 2.5. I saw Gaurav's photo (in the credits) of the very first issue. Didn't he have something to do with that article on the robot? Seems like I saw it on another site and him being the author.

Reason I asked is after seeing it & bookmarking the site had planed to use it as guide for my first project after I work my way thru the Blain/Hirsig execellent Video tutorials.

Being a retired programmer, disabled and on a fixed income; the abundance of free information is the only thing that is making it possible for me to learn & use such a Great tool. Your original link is making it possible for me to do something that I have wanted to do for a very long time. I can't Thank You enough!

Don't thank me, thank the people who created Blender smile

Yes, Gaurav has written several articles on Blender, and I recall that he wrote a couple for BlenderArt magazine too, so its very possible. Sadly, I cannot recall which article(s) at the moment.

Have fun with Blender!

Ironcode,

Impressive looking screen shots, your modelers have a lot of talent. Is it my imagination, or are your interiors a bit darker than in your first game? There was a real feeling of deja vu in the outdoor shot; way to set the mood. Looking forward to seeing the released product. You guys Rock!

Am slowing learning to use Blender, with much help from reading the on-line tutorials. The support for this great tool has been a real eye opener for me. You are right in saying that I need to Thank those dedicated folks that developed it (and continue to improve it) then gave it to the online community for free; but I still owe you a debt for being the one who first got me started. If it hadn't been for you I would have never known it was available, so Thank You.

Update: More screenshots for you:
http://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a...83a7&type=1

(I am unable to edit the original post any more, so I can't put up the link there)

Hope you like the art. Feel free to tell your friends about it (hint, hint)!

@OldMan44: Some of the places might feel that way, because they are inside of a building etc, and we have tried to be more realistic with scene lighting this time. But be assured, there are plenty of outside open areas in the game as well! Hmm, maybe next time I will share screenshots of one of those!

Pallav,

Great detail on the models. Understand about the lighting. I am still learning how to use the lighting in Blender to good effect. For the most part just been using the defaults (for my lighting) and concentrating on the modeling and texturing. Will be looking forward to seeing some your outdoor work. What kind of release date are you guys shooting for? "Revelations" is definitly on my Buy List.

Best of Luck,
OldMan44

I noticed one thing at the end of the paragraph under News, where you talk about Pahelika: Secret Legends.

The last sentence says, "A great discovery, but one that raises more questions that it answers!"

I am wondering if you meant to say: A great discovery, but one that raises more questions THAN it answers!"

As I said before, I'm looking forward to the new game. I enjoyed the first Pahelika very much. wave
