Hi there! I just finished The Omega Stone aka Riddle of the Sphinx 2. I was wondering if anyone knew if there was a future Sphinx 3 game coming. I liked both these games. The graphics were good enough that I found out I am a little claustrophobic in small places and underground. They were very challenging at least for me and I wouldn't mind purchasing a third. I felt I definitely got my money's worth. Whew, now my brain needs a rest! Look forward to the answer thanks!

You can try asking the developer, Jeff Tobler, if he's planning one. There's an email contact page here

Ok I got no reply to my question from the developer about The Riddle of the Sphinx games. So can Jenny O or someone suggest a game that I should try now while I'm waiting for the new Sherlock Holmes which looks fantastic from the previews. Thanks

Hi BNewman -- have you tried the Myst games? They have a first person perspective like Riddle of the Sphinx and contain challenging puzzles. You can buy the first three games as a collection, which is a very good deal. You can also download them from places like Gog.com and Steam.

Another idea -- check out the games by Kheops Studios. They have history-based games, including games set in ancient Egypt like RotS.

I think there was supposed to be another game after The Omega Stone but nothing was released unfortunately. Big Fish Games has RealMyst (listed in their Puzzle section). It's quite old but I liked it and found it very challenging. Becky gave it a good review if you are interested. Ghost in a Sheet is a favourite of mine and available at Big Fish. The game I liked best this year was The Filmmaker. I'm also looking for games to play while waiting for the new SH.

Yes, there was a sequel planned called "Oracle Bones". Set in Japan apparently. But there hasn't been a peep since 2005, sadly. I loved those games.
