After figuring out that my PC can handle the game (thanks to InlandAZ), I'm toying with the idea of purchasing the game via The Adventure Shop.
Other than Dreamfall, Syberia 1&2, and Nancy Drew, I haven't played many adventure point-and-clicks.
If I liked those will I enjoy this?
Or is it a totally different feel?
I read the review on here but I would like other opinions if possible.

Thanks smile

I personally think the story and the puzzles are enjoyable. Although there are some puzzles that might strain the patience of some gamers.

Dreamer, I'd say based on the games you've played and enjoyed, you would probably enjoy Gray Matter. I would put it up there with Dreamfall and the Syberias personally, though I know tastes vary.

Like Dreamfall it has a really complex storyline and interesting characters, whereas the puzzles feel more along the line of Syberia, though they fit the type of mystery story of the game they're in more. All in all, I'd consider it one of the better games I've played. Hope you decide to give it a try!

And if you end up liking it, I also recommend the Gabriel Knight games, also written by Jane Jensen and released in the 90's, which I think are even better. thumbsUp12

I enjoyed the game very much I was "involved" with the characters, caring about them, as in Syberia and Dreamfall.

The only thing I didn't like, I though it to be "absurd", was to have to buy materials for a trick just in the middle of it.

If real is what you can feel, smell, taste and see, then 'real' is simply electrical signals interpreted by your brain

Thank you all for your opinions smile

It sounds very intriguing.
The only question really that's keeping me from downloading it from TAS is the length of gameplay.
I stopped buying Nancy Drew full price because I'd beat it in 6-8ish hours (unless the puzzles were atrocious).

Is the length similar to Syberia 1/2 or more like Dreamfall?

Dreamer, I'd say that Gray Matter is around ten to twelve hours or so. Longer than Syberia 2 but not as long as Dreamfall.

Hi Dreamer, for the most part I found Gray Matter to play like a traditonal game but there are a few puzzles in it which you may or may not like but it's a great story!!!

It's a very good game. Not perfect, but good. You should definitely get it!

There's definitely definitely definitely no logic to human behaviour.
