There should be a special topic for saved game after rain dance. I got through the potion mixing and sneaking past the pixies but that dance has defeated me. Can I have a save game too, please, please.

Hi Rushes, did you send it to my email address? I haven't gotten it yet.

Yes, I sent it to the addy you have listed in your profile -- is that the correct one? Maybe check your spam folder in case it ended up there? I'll re-send now just in case.

Thanks Rushes, I got it, but I can't seem to get it to work. I put it in my save game folder and renumbered it. When I click "Continue" it's not there. If I scroll backwards I only see my saves named not numbered so I can't find it. I don't think I'm quite cut out to be a computer wizard.

From your in-game load screen, scroll right back to your very first save there and try that one. As the save I sent you is an older one, it should be the first in your list.
If you still can't see it, go back out of the game and have another try with the save file -- this time saving the file to your desktop first and renumbering it there, before moving it across into the folder.
Keep us posted.
Edit: Double check you're looking at all of your saves. This is what traveler said on another thread to another member: Have you looked at the bottom left of the Load screen where there are two marks that look like floppy V's or stylized birds? If you click on those, they scroll up and down through the saved games. If you didn't know that. Btw, your saved games should be in My Documents.

Rushes, If it will help you (or anybody else), I put my rain dance save on SaveGameServer under...wait for it...B! The name of the installed save is "Whew!". Gil.

Yaya1 When you get the email, don't try to open it there. Right click on the attachment and save it to your desktop where Adobe can't get at it. Or drag it off onto the desktop if you can do that. If that still doesn't work for you, you could download the rain dance save from SaveGameServer. Just look for it under B. There's only one saved game for Book of Unwritten Tales so you can't miss it. And bypassing your email might make the whole process easier. Hope so. Gil.

Why couldn't you access the save, YaYa1? You mean the saved game on the website?
Oh, I see. You have to register on the site in order to download saves. It's easy and it's a safe site. You can register via a link off to the left.
Gil.

For some reasons, frustration being the main one, I was unable to access the saves you sent me. However, my patient and brilliant son was able to overcome the "lightning/rain dance" in 3 attempts. I have now moved on to the Pixies. Thank you for your help.
